Drive Medical Universal Wheelchair Telescoping I. V. Pole

Bought this for my mom's Drive brand wheelchair and it fit easily. Didn't fit on the chair in my trunk when we had to go places so I left the endcap off on the side I was using for IV pole and used a Velcro strap to keep it tight to the wheelchair. It was easier to take off and put back on for appointments.

This is a Drive "universal" pole, and I have a Drive wheelchair, so you think it'd be fine, right? Well, half right. The lower piece is compatible with the wheelchair, you have to remove one of the anti-tip wheel things, install the I.V. pole horizontal bar into the receptacle, then re-install the anti-tip wheel. Perfect. The problem is securing the upper part of the pole to the wheelchair. Good luck figuring out where (or how) to attach that bracket. Fortunately I have some black Velcro straps, so I used one of those to attach the upper part of the pole to the wheelchair. It's pretty secure so I can't complain. But "universal"? Not sure which universe they're referring to.

Helps to keep my mother’s oxygen hose out of the way during transfer in and out of her chair.

Does not fit on chair. Cannot return. Waste of money

What a great design! The Drive Model STDS820 Telescoping I.V. Pole fit perfectly on the Medline Excel 2000 wheelchair. Very easy to install.

This item came damaged and cannot be returned. So not cool. It doesn’t adjust because the top end is smashed flat. A total waste of money
