I'm not a chemist and am really not sure how this differs from less expensive products, but I really like this gel.I purchased it the first time at one of the major discount stores. I needed a product to help "lift" my fine straight hair (with no natural body) off my scalp. This gel does the job and doesn't seem to weigh my hair down, which is key.That said, I also use a foam volumizer and hair spray. My hair dresser talked me out of having routine perms to do this job, and since then I go to war every morning in front of the bathroom mirror. This gel is one of my weapons.

I absolutely love this hair gel! It keeps my hair curly but my hair feels soft like I have nothing in it. I now only use this gel. I will never use anything else.

Love this product, but it arrived with a crack that I didn't see until taking it out of the plastic wrap.

I don't know if the formula has changed but it seems to have a stronger scent than it use to.

This gel holds my hair well without making it clumpy or greasy. The smell is also not overwhelming. I will definitely repurchase again!

This is my first time trying this product and I love it. I have long curly hair and it held very well. It's a bit sticky while I was defusing my hair, which I liked. The hair will set to your crunching, which I love. You can actually put it the way you want as you defuse it. Great Product!
