The clique is back for more scheming, flirtatious, fashionable fun
I loved this second Clique book. I am 27 and so am not the usual market for these books, but I just love these as a guilty pleasure. In this second book, Massie convinces her parents that she and Claire want to hold a Halloween party together, and since her parents are thrilled that Massie and Claire are getting along so well, they agree that the gals can host the most fabulous party ever - with boys!Claire and Massie's friendship, of course, is tenuous at best and non-existant at worst, so there is the usual drama of Claire trying to get into the in crowd while the in crowd tries hard to keep her out! But Claire is smart, interesting, and unique, and so she manages to pull off some brilliant moves which help her to come out on top. While the party planning and excitement is going on, Alicia is drawing away from the group and seems to be breaking up with the clique. To add to Massie's struggle to stay Queen Bee, rumors are flyin that Massie just "hasn't got it" anymore, rumors which she is going to try her best to dispell. This is another fun romp through the world of the young, rich, and beautiful, and if you liked the first book you will like this next one in the series.

Best friends for never, the clique has clicked on me!
I adored this book and I was so into it I actually finished it in a day! this book makes me feel like I'm in the story because at times I find myself feeling bad for Claire, the bullied girl. I recommend this book for eighth grade and up because there is some bad words and some crude humor but its is a really great book!

the clique series
Bought this as a gift for my grand daughter. "I" am not happy with the content - "I" think this series advocates MEANESS. However, it is a best seller and 'all the kids are reading them' <~ so she says.Anything for my first grand child :-)Yes, I'll probably end up ordering more of the series. *sigh*

Written by a 10 year old
I’ll give this book a solid three stars. It’s pretty much the same thing as the last book. Massie is just being her usual bossy self, and the rest of the characters just got on my nerves. Now onto my pet peeves of this novel:1. Popcorn and mustard. (Who on earth eats that?!) 2. The lack of parental supervision in this book series is amazing. Massie throws a boy-girl Halloween party. The characters are only in the seventh grade. And her dad just throws money to Massie like water! If I asked for a boy-Girl Halloween party, my dad would be like what in the world would possess you to ask that?! They also go to the mall everyday after school. How do they still maintain good grades? They also go to school dressed up in innnapropiete devil costumes for Halloween. Kristen seems like the only member of Massie’s Clique that has a head screwed on tightly. Thankfully , Kristen’s mom forbids her from going to Massie’s party. I was like “You go Kristen’s mom!” 3. The way they talk. Gawd,Hawt,Ehmagod,LBR,Alpha,Beta, you get the picture. 4. The unrealisticness of it all. Massie literally prances around tossing out insults. Who allows their kid to act like this? If your daughter wants to read this book make sure she knows not emulate Massie’s awful behavior and to not ever do this to anyone in life.
