This is the second set that I have bought for my '85 Mustang. The first set rusted after the car was left outside for two years at the auto repair shop. I bought the first set in 1997 and I loved them. They are very bright and the light up the road. I also bought the matching high-beam lights. I bought PIAA 4100K bulbs for all four lights and the difference these lights/bulbs make at night is just unbelievable! No more worries about seeing the road, even at night in the rain.The bulbs for these are H4 bulbs which means they are for single-light systems - high and low beam in a single housing. With the included wire harness adapter they hook right up to your low-beam headlight plug. This gives you high beams from all four headlights.I would highly recommend these to anybody that uses sealed beam halogen lights. These are a world apart.For best results, also replace the high-beam lights - search for part number 003177871.

Light works well, light output could be more even, but it's still much better than typical sealed beam headlight it replaces. Since this unit is metal and glass, not plastic, you can also run higher watt bulbs if you desired, provided you upgrade your wiring to match.

Better than the Indian/Chinese trash on the market but NOT made in Germany. Compared to the German Hella H4 housings they are trash the beam focus is way more spread out and comes up high on low beam and blinds people even with the two housings at the some adjustment height side by side.

The headlamp was exactly what it said it would be. It fit in perfectly with no hiccups. I went to three different places to find one of the lamps and all three places spend some time on the Internet and said there was nothing they could do. My son got on Amazon and found the exact lamp that I needed we ordered it and I am on the road again. Great job Amazon.

Used these conversion housings with a set of Rolinger 5th Generation LED headlights in a 1977 1/2 ton Chevy...after installing dual electric fans and an AC system, I started adding up all my amperage loads...didn't realize in the beginning that each of the sealed beam headlights had a nearly 8 amp draw!! Truck ran great during the day, but at night the draw from the fans, blower motor, and headlights proved to be a little too much for the 79A alternator...converted entire lighting system (including the instrument cluster) over to LED and in the process, shaved nearly 30 amps off the draw...now voltmeter doesn't dive off the center every time the lights are turned on...

It fits my 97 XJ just barely the hole is just enough for them to work

the lighting is completely different, the quality in the dark parts improved significantly.

Nice housings with pretty good cutoff. I'm using these with HIDs. Glare seems to be at a minimum for oncoming traffic although because they're E they do shine in the mirror people in front of you.
