The best clay pomade period.
This is the original great clay pomade that brought back the natural look. Baxter copied this formula as I remember switching to Rudy’s from Baxter back before 2019 when they didn’t have a clay pomade. Baxter’s hard cream pomade (pink bottle) made my hair cakey and layered, like suavecito. Also per ounce it’s cheaper than Baxter. My barber at the Rudy’s barbershop in LA reluctantly recommended the shop’s clay pomade telling me he wasn’t trying to upsell me but rather saying it actually was the best on the market. Ever since I have not stopped using this clay pomade even though the barbershop chain went out of business. The scent is decent but isn’t strong at all. It washes out very easily, if you’re having issues getting it out of your hair you used way to much. Use a little at a time until your hair sticks. If you do apply to much, a couple sprinkles of water will loosen it. For the best hold, I recommend applying the product when your hair is bone dry.

Hold that lasts all day and is not shiney
It lasts a long time this container - a good two months and it will hold all day and re-shape if needed during the day. Believe me, I have tried lots of brands and this the best so far

One of the very best
I've spent about 10+ years trying different hair products. I have thick hair and my style is short fade on the sides, length with a volumized comb over on the top. I have bounced around from a number of products and like the keep it fresh by testing out new products now and again. I've used Hanz de Fuko (clay pomade, quiksand) , Baxter (clay pomade, hard water cream, cream pomade), Lamel fine grooming clay, Byrd clay, Viking wax, Layrite Cement clay, Woodys clay, American Crew Fiber, and a few discontinued european brands that I can't remember the names of. Needless to say, I have some experience with hair products - specifically clay pomades.Rudy's clay pomade is at the VERY top of the list for me. It's soft, easy to loosen and push through hair. It holds my thick hair well, keeps the volume I want and allows for additional styling throughout the day without getting greasy. It has no scent and washes out easily. I can't believe anyone's given below 5 stars for this product. For the price, this is an unbelievable product that i'll certainly be using for years to come. I don't usually leave product reviews, but felt compelled to support this wonderful product. It won't let you down!

My favorite clay pomade!
I love this pomade, it's got a nice firm hold and it's unscented. It does the job and you get what you pay for, no frills.

I've used better
Wouldn't really call this strong hold - more like a medium.Smells pretty strong. I knew that it would be scented and I didn't think it would bother me that much, but after weeks of using it it gets sickening. Went back to an old jar of Tigi Bedhead I had lying around from a few years ago and I've never gone back to this. Meh

Best Clay Out There
Decided to take a shot on this random company and am not disappointed. Easy to apply, nice scent, gives a very semi wet look. Some clays are too matte and give a bone dry look. This in my opinion gives hair a more lively look. The best comparison I can find to a big brand is the Baxter Clay pomade. But to me this one is better and more affordable.

Best product I've every used
I have fine, short hair. Most products, no matter how little or much I use tend to weigh my hair down and don't provide the hold. I use very little of this, probably a pinky nail's worth. This stuff gives my hair body and makes it look fuller though I have to finish off with hair spray. Works even in humid weather. I can't say that this washes out easily as I have to wash my hands a couple of times before they feel clean. I also would prefer if they used some natural essential oils for scent rather than some generic "fragrance." Appreciate that it's made in the USA.
