Outstanding Value for this laptop case!
Bought a new 2013 October release MacBook Pro 15.4" w/Retina Display laptop and needed a case to carry around away from the house. Do not like the "sleeve" style as too easy to drop. Looked at a lot of cases in many stores but most tended to be a little to large and bulky for me, also did not seem constructed that well. This one is 15" wide, 10.5" height and slightly over 2" in thickness when empty. My laptop fits in very snug and the case has a 360 degree rolled cushion around the laptop when stored, very soft lining protecting the case also. If dropped cannot imagine any case being more secure unless a hard case. I also have mcover hard shell case snap attached to the laptop, top and bottom for more protection. Even with this outer shell on fits perfect in the Incase Brief. Inside partitioned off for something thin, such as note pad or even small tablet, that can be placed there. Outside has 2 zippered compartments, 1 with built in "sleeves" designed to hold items snug, but not for anything thick. For my purpose's this is a great case as I don't need to carry much else with me. A lot of optional items, meaning large, will not fit in as the case is very compact. With the well constructed carrying handles and also included padded shoulder strap no problem at all with transporting quite comfortably. Hard to buy when not seen up close but after the many I had looked at this one beats them all hands down.

This is a really nice case for my MacBook Pro 15 inch with Retina ...
This is a really nice case for my MacBook Pro 15 inch with Retina display. Two pockets on front hold misc. cables, and divided pocket inside is nice for carrying paper notebooks, etc. I've used it both with handles and with shoulder strap. Highly recommended for carrying your macbook around with room for a few small accessories. Padded sides seem to protect the macbook well.

Disappointing quality; bag broke and tore
This was a gift. The strap of the bag broke after about 1 week of use and it tore at the bottom corner, exposing and scratching my friend's macbook. I actually purchased this to replace an old incase bag where the zipper had broken. I wouldn't recommend Incase products based on these last two experiences - they look nice, but are not built to last.

A little too slim :\
Bought for carrying a MacBook Pro Retina 13" and a few notebooks to class. It all fits, but it's a little too tight and it bulges. If they would have made it about half an inch or an inch wider, it would have been perfect.Unfortunate, because I've always trusted InCase for my Apple laptops. I'm trying to find a reason to hold onto it, because I have the laptop sleeve and backpack in the same color/style (black/grey exterior, green/tan interior), but I can't really justify keeping it just to have the whole "set."

Minimalist design and perfect fit for 15" MacBook Pro
I bought this as a replacement for the equivalent earlier Incase model, which survived daily use for about 7 years before the zipper broke. This newer bag is improved in that the padding around the perimeter of the computer compartment is a bit more substantial, and the bag can now loop over the pull handle of a suitcase. One of the pockets (the rear one) for the two handles extends all the way down the bag to a zippered opening at the bottom, which creates a sleeve for the suitcase pull handle to slip through. It's a very nice and subtle design. There are two separate side-by-side zippered pockets in the front, which replace the one continuous pocket in the older model. This is a downside of the new design, as the pockets are very tight and don't expand like the older one, so they hold considerably less stuff. The new bag's pockets can barely fit a battery charger. Also, the shoulder strap no longer comes with a pad. I replaced it with the strap from my old bag. I don't like that the D-rings that the strap snaps into are made of plastic instead of metal. However, they were also plastic in my old bag, and they never failed. Hopefully my luck will continue. The bag is more rigid than the last one, largely due to the extra padding, which makes it look sleeker, but the black color is lighter than true black and in my opinion, less attractive. It kind of looks like it faded in the sunlight.I'm still using an older generation 15" MacBook Pro (2014), and this fits very snugly, almost too snugly, in the bag. The newer 15" MacBook Pro which I will soon upgrade to has a slighly smaller footprint, so I imagine it would fit perfectly. Overall, it seems like a great bag, albeit expensive. I looked at some other brands which were about half the price, but these all seem to be way too big because they are trying to accommodate all brands of laptops.Note that this bag is intentionally minimalist. You can fit a few papers and a thin book in the main compartment with the computer, but nothing else. It's more like a laptop sleeve with handles and a shoulder strap, which is exactly what I want.

Light small, but spacious enough
Nice, very lightweight case (but still offers decent protection), somewhere between a sleeve and a small briefcase. Perfect fit for a 15" MacBook Retina. The front pockets expand enough to fit the power supply brick, pens, VGA adaptor and other necessities for a presentation on the road. Note that the colour is not the "true" black of the Incase neoprene sleeves, but more of a dark charcoal.

Great case for the city or campus...
A proven protective case for my son to tote a new MacBook Pro around campus... and hopefully to work in the not too distant future! Lots of carrying options (handle and shoulder strap) make it easy to keep his laptop safe and handy.
