Handy
I find these way more handy working on cars then bungee cords ever were. Hold tight and fast to use. Any length is achievable unlike a bungee that you need to make shorter, longer or hold tighter.

Nice product but use for a canoe at your own risk!
I bought this product for a fairly light-duty use. I needed some cords to retain one-gallon gas cans in the back of my snowmobiles. Works perfect for that! I noticed in the product description that they say "use for retaining a canoe to a car", or words to that effect. I do a lot of paddling so I'm well acquainted with the similar cords we use to put the canoe on the roof. These are FAR too light-duty to accomplish that! I already have about a dozen cords for that use and these are a fraction of the width of the cords on my legit canoe cords. I was actually glad to see how tiny they are because I wanted something similar to my canoe cords to use in the sleds but on a smaller scale. These are perfect for that but if you buy these to tote your canoe at 55 MPH on the roof of your car, make sure your canoe is insured! They are not going to be strong enough!

Every kayaker that sees these on my yak rack wants them
I really love to kayak ,and going to different places with them is 1/2 the fun which means they have to be SECURED . Cam buckle straps[never ratchet straps] hold them in the J racks yes, but unless they are tied down bow and stern sooner or later you will be very unhappy. The operative word here is tied , ropes work but not everyone learned knots101 and they can and do stretch and loosen up. These tie downs are simple to use incredibly handy and reliable. Don't take chances, launch your yak into the water not down the highway.

What you paid for…
At $7.50 per pair, I got what I paid for. I’m not sure how much longer they’ll last but they made it 400+mi without failing. They’re easy to use but obviously made of not weather resistant metal and the latch is plastic (nylon). The rope is thin 1/8” which seems thin, but it held without slipping.I’ll be replacing them with something more durable once I see rust on the internal spring or the plastic latch snaps…either will probably happen pretty soon.

Perfect for attaching items
Works great at keeping the kayak tied down to the front of the car.

Amazing Product
These things are a godsend! I use them for about anything that needs held down. I work as a generator field technician so these help secure unused oil, load banks that fit in the bed of my service truck, holding wires out of the way while doing load banks, they are worth the money if you need to secure items from tipping or rolling. I’ve used them at home as well as for work. They come in handy more often than you you would know after having to use them continuously. I have to sets and will come back for replacements when needed.
