Quality downgrade, prices up, moved manufacturing
This box had a mid-aligned locking mechanism that made it almost impossible to open the box. It turns out it was MADE IN MEXICO. Just got off the phone with Knaack, and this is new. Since bought by Werner Ladder they’re moving all job box manufacturing to Mexico, no longer a USA product. They let go of all those experienced workers and then quality took a hit. Go figure. Anyway, time to find a new domestic job box maker that stands for quality.

Quality Product - Best Job Boxes
It disappeared in shipment and the seller refunded the money promptly. It turns out that was lucky; shortly afterwards, I figured out this model was too small for what I want to do! I wound up buying a bigger one (60") from another seller and I'm very happy with it.
