I have taken this for years with melatonin right before bedtime and get a full night’s sleep. I used to use only melatonin and would still wake before time to get up. With this combination I sleep all the way through. I have no side effects or grogginess in the morning. I highly recommend.

After years of Solaray being my go to brand for Valerian supplements, this particular formula is truly the most effective I've tried yet - both for potency as well as cost. This formula contains 6x the root extract as the second most effective formula I have purchased. One a day (as needed) is more than sufficient. This is also significant for those who find the aroma of Valerian as, to put it politely, a mile or so beyond pungent.The only complaint I have is that this is currently an "add on only item" on Amazon. Since this is not related to the product, there was no deduction in the rating.

These are a decent Valerian Root supplement. They did check all the boxes for me no gluten, dairy or any other substances they can add in products that we don't need but it is more cost effective. I just prefer Solgar's supplement better because they are also not expensive & the bottle is glass which I will always prefer over plastic. These did do the intended job though which is to help me fall asleep. I have to have the 0.8% in my Valerian Root or it's not going to work at all.

Helps to turn off the thinking and lets me fall asleep.

I've ordered this product 51 times from Amazon. I just ordered two bottles of this 300mg Solaray valerian. The seller sent 50 mg.

Same quality valerian root that I buy at the health food store, but much less expensive! Great natural remedy for insomnia.

This product has a terrible odor. I will not recommend it.

I use this with chamomile tea for an extra sleep boost from time to time and it's pretty effective for shutting down a hyper mind ;-)
