First thoughts.
So I’ve just received my lathe. Packaging is awful and I’ve only the small set of chisels, (I’ll report back when I hear from the supplier) The rest of the parts look like they are all there but there’s no speed display as described. I will post another review once I’ve heard back from the supplier and set it all up.***UPDATE***I got a reply from Monster Group and they apologised and sent me some chisels that were missing. I’ve had great fun on the lathe and it’s working great. I’ve amended my stars. Thanks again!

I’m impressed
I love my new man toy. Got myself many wooden cups, bowls and odd looking other things. The instructions are straightforward but the tools are like training tools and are great. Buying sets of tools and augments are a must after couple of months.

Good starter tool
Works great and is perfect for someone starting out . The only thing is you have to manually change the speed by moving the belts which take about 5 minutes to complete

This is a beginners lathe which for the price is good value.
Changing the speed is long winded, 4 bolts to loosen to move the drive belt onto 1 of 4 pully wheels. Improves with practice. The free tools are okay but soon require sharpening. The lathe itself is a bench top piece of equipment, which is practical but requires securing to your workbench. I think it is good value for the price; I will upgrade when proficient at turning. Sadly my tool rest fractured today just below the headrest when my tool kicked back and downwards, scared the pants off me, you don't expect cast metal to fracture. Will be speaking to the seller about
