Worth every penny
My second Dyson, my first is getting quite old. This one is outstanding. Especially at picking up dog hairs. Highly recommended, not cheap but worth every penny.

Not really suitable for pets
I have had a dyson ball previously and it was far better. This is flimsy and doesn’t pick up half as much as the old one I had. Hair gets stuck in the main roller and you cannot get it out like the last model so in time it’ll start to smell. So not really a suitable hoover to be advertised for pet hair.

Upgraded my dc33 to this wish I had not poor excuse for a hoover
After seven years of using a dyson dc33 which was the best hoover I’d ever had , it finally blew up , so I upgraded to one of the only few dyson corded hoovers left , this one , it looked great , Un boxed it and plugged it in and wow was I impressed the suction is amazing , left lines in the carpet and carpet looked like new , so that’s the good bit , now for the bad , had the hoover about two months , the hoover had been completely apart and cleaned three times as it’s getting blocked up all pipes , the handle and wand bit is uncomfortable to uses and feels cheap , the hoover is heavy and very uncomfortable to push around ,filters have now been washed and hoover is making a loud noise when switched off ,I Google’s this and it’s when the filter is put back in after being washed sometimes doesn’t fit right so lots of reviews say , and the worst bit it won’t suck anything up larger than a pea , constantly getting blocked , so,if your just sucking dust up it’s fine any thing else , avoid , my dyson dc33 sucked everything up , this is totally the opposite ....never again. Will I buy a dyson ☹️

Progress is not necessarily improvement
I have been a fan of Dyson vacuum cleaners for a long time. My DC04 was a revelation and lasted us for well over 10 years, especially with the Dyson repair service that would replace brushes and drive belts. So when one of our old machines finally gave up the ghost the Ball was the logical choice as the rechargeable models just couldn't handle the size of house and number of dogs. What a disappointment. This model is heavy, I mean really heavy compared to the DC04 and while it is manoeuvrable there are so many shortcomings:1. The hose has a 3 foot non detachable tube on the end meaning stairs are not a straightforward proposition.2. Blockages, while on the DC04 were easily managed with clipped on parts that were easily removed and replaced, require a screwdriver and the stripping down of the machine.3. Our machine developed a split inner hose linking the head to the body within 6 months. It took me two months to source a replacement from Dyson (FOC, under guarantee but still. Thankfully we still had an old DC04 to hand) and while it was a customer fit part it is not straightforward to fit as the instructions only mention one tab at the head end, when in fact you have to fit opposing lugs in to the chassis before stretching it back and clipping it on to the main body of the machine. I wasn't impressed with the failure of such an integral part so quickly.4. The collector tank. This is so annoying. The "full" mark is roughly only half way up the side of the tank. Fill it beyond that and you will have to find something long and thin like a knitting needle in order to fiddle out the hair that has got stuck. There are some positives. Namely the rotating brush is really well designed, is larger diameter and tends not to get fouled by hair, it also doesn't seem to have a drive belt which were always prone to snapping on older models if you jammed the brush on a rug. And that's pretty much it.For the price I would have expected improvements over the original however what you in fact get is a series of annoyances. I would not buy this model Dyson again as there are far too many design deficiencies to warrant the price. An ideal example of if it works, don't dick about with the design. Yes it is an effective vacuum cleaner when it is working but if something happens, watch out.

Amazing suction power
This is hands down the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used it picks up every single bit of dustman imaginable, and it's also handles pet hair fantastically, I only recently hoovered my house before my old vacuum cleaner broke but this vacuum cleaner put my old one to shame I literally had to empty the cylinder 5 times it just shows you how good this vacuum cleaner is.

Awful hoover
The brush is far too soft it does not pick up flick or hair. I have to go around the house after hoovering to pick up a handful of hais and normal flick. I usually have to bring out the Miele hoover to get a good clean.

Brilliant Dtson
I had an old Dyson ball animal 1 for 6 years and it was used daily, used its fantastic 5 year guarantee to the full and it was a bit like triggers broom. now have the new Dyson ball animal 2, first impressions are good but you know what they say about new brooms! yes the animal is not light but it needs to be robust as it will have many years of work in our household when you have as many working dogs as I do.
