Does not fit Dust Right hose
Item is well made and strong. Rockler hoses will not fit without a little modification. Overall awesome product. Using for dust collection on lathe.

Makes for great brake cooling inlet at half the price! Sturdy!
This is a full 1/8" thick injection molded ABS part. What I really like about it is it makes for a perfect air intake for cooling the brakes on my race car.It is sturdier than all the "made for a race car" parts that cost two and three times as much. I just trimmed it down to fit, ground off the internal step and it worked perfectly for my 2007 WRX STi. Will work for 2006 too, at least. Fits to the opening for a fog lamp in the fascia. Works well with GM Z06 Corvette brake ducts!

DUST COLLECTION HOOD FOR MY LATHE
I use this vac hood on my lathe. Like a big gulp, it sucks most all the dust and shavings that would normally create a huge mess in my shop. Attached the hood just behind the cutting area with a simple bracket I made from scrap wood. It's attached to the lathe table with a clamp so I can move it as needed. Very helpful.

With Some Engineering It Works
This hood, of course, requires some engineering to use but it fit my need for dust collection in sanding on the lathe. The Jet 1642 lathe comes with a deflection guard that I've never seen anyone use but offers a sturdy mounting base for this hood. I turned six inches of a 16" long piece of 3" X 3" maple round to fit in the guard mounting base hole while leaving the remainder square. This then provided the correct location for supporting the hood, with some more engineering, to be moved within four inches of the piece being sanded. I only use it during sanding since that seems to the most problematic and most other products of turning are easy to clean up with a dust pan. Along with my Grizzly Cyclone Dust Collector (G0703) it gets 95% of the sanding dust. It is a cheap solution to protecting your lungs.

Five Stars
I’m a fan of powertec equipment. It’s competitively priced and works. This piece is no exception.

I use this behind my benchtop wood lathe connected to this, Woodstock D4203 2-1/2-Inch by 10-Feet Hose, Clearthe semi flexible tubing keeps it in place as I move it with the work and the size of the funnel is just right to pull in the dust I create when finishing turnings on the lathe. Very tough material.
