Binary Review?
It's really hard to give a subjective review for something like computer memory. It's either compatible or it's not. If it is, then it's usually going to function perfectly or malfunction. In my case I purchased two separate sets of PC8500 2x2GB SO-DIMMs, as memory upgrades for both a Macbook Pro 15" (Intel Core2 Late 2008) and a Mac Mini (Intel Core2 Early 2009) and ran an extended memory test (Apple Hardware Test) on both with zero errors. Considering their current litigation battles, I thought it was very sporting that these two worked together without a hiccup.

Does the Job!
I purchased this last week to help upgrade my grandma's HP Mini 110-4250NR since it only had 1GB RAM. It ran pretty OK but somewhat slow and eventually grandma complained enough for me to let me take a look at it for a day. Since I think 1GB RAM is low and I checked what the type of RAM was needed plus did check if the Intel Atom processor could handle 2GBs which it says it does so it made sense, upgrade the RAM.My grandma commonly uses her laptop for emails and well... her free games that she has on there like solitaire and hearts. So yea she has 260GB of Hard Drive remaining so I know that wasn't the issue.A general idea of what the specs were in her Mini Laptop:- Windows 7 Starter- Intel Atom 1.6 GHz- Intel Graphics- (Maybe) 320GB 5400rpm Hard Drive- Upgraded 1GB RAM DDR3 to 2GB (1x SO-DIMM) since there is only one slot for a RAM so I could not do 1GBx2.)It runs about 25% faster with the applications and the browser loads up faster so this is nice to see. It is pleasing enough for the results that I was hoping for.The only minor thing I noticed about the SAMSUNG 2GB SO-DIMM that it was slightly taller in height than its predecessor, SAMSUNG 1GB. (Probably my error for misunderstanding its dimensions...) However, no worries since I moved the sleeved wire out of the way and it still clicked in nicely and runs good.* I grabbed a different RAM which is a 2GB 1Rx8 PC3-10600S. Runs cooler than this RAM I installed. "Human Error on my part"

Perfect for my Macbook (late 2010)
Was having some trouble with my MacBook. The Apple "Geniuses" had the hard drive replaced twice. Decided on a whim to upgrade the ram. Perfect. Easy to install, inexpensive. Fixed a lot of the hang-ups my computer was having (particularly with iPhoto). Buy 2, because you need to replace both, Apple has directions on how to replace the sticks online.

Perfect memory upgrade for little Samsung netbook
I have a little Samsung netbook computer my husband won in a lottery years ago. I have been using it to listen to old time radio shows when I go to bed. It worked great for that. But I decided I wanted to watch TV with it over our Dish sling. With only 1 gig of memory the great picture and the sound were miles apart. I just couldn't handle the male's voice coming out of the female's mouth etc. So I replaced the 1 gig of memory with this 2 gig of memory. Now I can use the little netbook as a TV (not perfect, but 95% perfect). Even better I can now surf the web with the netbook quickly and efficiently. The little netbook is much more useful now when I travel than using my cell phone to look things up on the net. I am more than pleased with my memory upgrade.

Caution...check your docs if you are trying to expand your memory.
Works perfectly well but I bought it to expand the memory on my Intel D2700MUD mother board and only one of these will work at a time on that board. The only way you get 4G on the D2700 is with a single 4G board. Booo!

Experiences like this are boring
So who wants excitement when he's putting a SO-DIMM in a computer? I figured out what I needed (the chip that was in the computer had exactly the same numbers as the one in the picture), ordered it, it arrived quickly (possibly earlier than the date range expected), I installed it in the computer, and it works. I'm typing on it right now.I'd like more of my experiences to be as boring as this one. Thanks to Amamax for great service.

Dead on Arrival
I received this, and although this is an outdated stick it is perfect for what I needed it for. However hte stick is DOA, memory error on MB. Amazon will not allow a return without costing me more money since it was not shipped from them. Amazon will not allow me to contact the seller about this. So I have a dead piece of RAM that I cannot return without additional charges.....

Good buy
Bought a pair of these to upgrade an old Mac Mini. Installed and ran without problems. The price was great. I only wish the Mini could have taken larger DIMMS!
