My son has been obsessed with magnet fishing after watching some YouTube videos. We bought this one to try and out and wow! I am shocked at what he has found so far. And also will make my kids wear water shoes from now on!!! This magnet found all kinds of goodies from knives to fishing lures. At one point my son accidentally walked by the fire pit and the magnet caught the metal grill grate and he could barely get it off LOL. I would highly recommend this magnet!

I've used it to retrieve all kinds of things dropped behind or beneath furniture or in the shop. It's a strong little magnet, but I would be shocked to see it pull 300lbs of anything. We shall see. The world is thawing out and soon we will be dropping it in the ponds and rivers nearby and seeing what kinds of treasures it pulls up. For now, I can say it's pretty hard to pull off of the fridge without the little scraper (I keep it pinned between the magnet and whatever surface I'm storing it on so it's easy to remove) and anything larger that I've picked up with it, like my shears, took some elbow grease to pull free, so it is definitely strong. The jury is still out on HOW strong. I'll be back to report as soon as I've had a chance to chunk it off of the pier.

Fun to use. Appears very strong. Not to big but has a good weight capacity. Also helped me find a few screws I lost. I would recommend

Hubby is always losing a nut or bolt in the grass or leaves. This serves the purpose and comes with it's own rope so we didn't have to hunt one up. Great purchase! Even has a little scaper to help get it off the side of the toolbox!

I purchased this for magnet fishing in a river. I was satisfied with the weight and rope length, however, the design makes keeping objects attached difficult while bringing to surface. The edge of the magnet would get lodged on a rock, thus forcing object to come off.

I bought this to go magnet fishing casually. Of course I didn't believe the claim it could actually hold 300 lbs so I started testing it around my house. My mistake was attaching it to my cast iron wood burning stove. It took me and my husband both using our full body weight and pulling on the rope for the magnet to finally come loose! Safe to say I trust the magnet and rope will hold whatever I can find

This magnet works very well. I didn’t realize how strong the magnet would be until I got it stuck on a metal dock. It took two of us to pull as hard as we could to get it off so be careful not to get it flush on a large piece of metal. I highly recommend it though. Very very strong!
