Ergodyne Chill-Its 6665 Evaporative Cooling Vest

I live In Phoenix AZ. Summers are hot. When i start a road trip or return home the vest works very good .I keep it in a large zip bag with water. Once start feeling the heat on goes the vest.

I work at amazon in a warehouse. It's been really hot lately, so i thought I'd order this just for myself. I don't do well it high heat and even simple things like walking, i'd break out in an extreme sweat.The vest does work well (but expect drips if you fully soak it for maximum cooling) and dripped on clothing. It doesn't leak on the inside as that's waterproof, but the water does tend to 'pool' at the bottom of the vest and then drip if really soaked. I can't have those drips so have to just soak the top half for safety reasons. It does provide the cooling needed and especially on my bare arms that rub against the vest. It does cool well. To maximize the cooling effect, recharge it every 2.5 hours at minimum if you are using cold tap water like i do. (i want to freeze this or use ultra cold water). If you don't, it gets a very humid feeling, at least for me in a warehouse where temps average 90degrees plus right now.the more you soak it, the better it is. The colder the water is, the better it is.It does feel heavy.. but only at first. You get used to it quickly and appreciate the lower temp feeling. It has made quite a difference in my quality of life chart working in a warehouse. I wish we used these for all employees.I am happy with my purchase and do recommend it to others with a few cautions as explained above.Tho it does feel a bit like wearing a wet t-shirt at times.4/5 stars.

I put it in ice water 2 times and have stitching coming out, it then oozes gel out.

Yes, there are probably better options out on the market but, for the price, this vest works as described. I think they are a little larger than posted…l see where folks get them wet and put them in the fridge, before using them. We don’t have that luxury when your riding 450 miles in 100 degree dry heat for 7-8 hours a day. In this type of weather, l was stopping every 3 hours and refuel the bike and rewatering the vest… The lime yellow is very bright and noticeable, good for visibility by others. The vest keeps me alert and comfortable too… well made and affordable..

This cooling vest is a JOKE. Reviews make it sound like it helps, but actual people like myself realize this "cooling vest is a JOKE."After you soak it is:1. Slimy to the touch (tried to wipe it off with a cloth but doesn't make much of a difference.2. Even after you wring the water out, it still drips and wets your clothes. There is only so much wringing one can do.3. When wet the vest is HEAVY. During summer or hot weather we want Light, Airy clothing items, but this feels like a Weighted Vest.The vest is a joke, when put to the test. It also hinders working/movement due to the heavy and stiff vest.

I normally wear a size large cooling vest and shirts as well. This cooling vest fits more like a XL+. This is not a complaint about the quality of the vest just the size. The packing in the vest does feel a bit thicker than all others I have owned so it should capture more water and provide a longer cooling effect. Returning this one and reordering.

Large is absolutely gigantic. I dilly dallied and missed the return window but make sure you order AT LEAST one size smaller than you think!
