TimexMen's TW4B00100 Expedition Acadia Green/Black Fast Wrap Velcro Strap Watch

Nice watch
I will get used to the velcro strap, I prefer velcro over regular bands. The second hand does not line up with the second marks. You have to pull the pin out Hard to change/update the time, which scares me. I had a Timex where the pin came all the way out of the watch. Cringe. The illumination is not as good as the Timex Indiglo- I am let down by this. 4/18/25 I got used to the struggle of putting on the velcro strap onto my wrist quickly. The Timex Field Watch is losing one second a day. The indiglo function is almost worthless. All aside, the is making a very good affordable every day work watch.

Years of use
I love this watch. I have worn this brand and model for many years. It is inexpensive so after a few years when the battery dies, I just buy a new one. I have done this 4 times. The watch never disappoints. A reliable time piece that does not break the bank.

Fantastic for $40, some cosmetic issues.
Very good for $40. I bought this as a temporary watch I can bring to boot camp and it works fantastic for that purpose. I have had it for about a month now, and the crystal is pretty scratched up. Not so its unreadable, it is still very functional but not exactly pretty. The Velcro band is very convenient. The date dial does switch over at close to noon instead of midnight, which might be my error in setting it up but is defiantly an issue if that is very important to you. Size is good, exactly what I would expect. Date dial and time hands do move independently. There are glow in the dark lines on both the hour and minute hands, and you can make the whole dial glow by pushing the turn wheel on the side. Haven't dunked it in a pool, but have had no issues with water.TLDR: face is scratched easily, otherwise very good for a temp or work watch. Turnover issue with the date dial. For the price, defiantly recommend. This will serve you well.

Velcro Watchband
I like the band easy on off always tight.

Time for another one
I buy this watch because the design of the velcro watchband keeps the metal away from my skin. I like the sturdiness and ease of reading the face. I've bought a new one about every two years, as I'm hard on watches and manage to do everything wearing one of these, resulting in scratched faces, worn out velcro.

Timex Isn't What It Used To Be
Timex used to be an incredibly reputable company. Now, they're just in it for gouging the public. My husband bought a "cheap" Expedition Watch with Indiglo to wear everyday when he volunteers at a dog shelter. The indiglo stopped working but everything else worked fine. After a significant runaround with the customer service person in who knows where who explained over and over again that they were so backed up and it could be months before any repairs could be done, I asked him to send me the instructions on how to return it for warranty service. When I received the instructions for the $38 watch which is still under it's one year warranty, lo and behold they want me to send it back at my expense with a check for $8 and then they will tell me what is wrong with it and how much it will be to fix it. This is totally unacceptable and Timex should be ashamed of themselves.

Timex keeps on ticking
Always buy for my husbands work. They are durable but he usually breaks/wears out so keep buying every 3-4 years. He likes the indiglo as he works at night often
