I am obsessed with Indian food but really don’t know how to make it. Not to mention I am short on time as a nurse. Love this rice & the Maya products! They are easy, grab and go, flavorful and literally something I can pack in my hospital lunch bag! We use the rice as a side or even as the main part of a dish. Mix in some veggies or even chicken. Really good! We add a little olive oil or water to really get the flavors going.

I ordered this product because I wanted to have an easy/quick side dish on hand and I'm trying to incorporate turmeric more in my diet because of its many benefits. This did not disappoint!! I made it on the stove top following the instructions and it was hot and ready in 2 minutes. The flavors in this easily beat out any uncle bens boring side dishes. I recommend to anyone looking to add some spice to their meals!

This Rice can be eaten by itself without needing anything added. It also pairs well with Chicken.I suggest you try the rice alone and be familiar with it’s solo taste before combining with innovative proteins.

I love having this rice at home. I've always made rice using the stove top method, but this is just the way we like to eat it and ready in 90 seconds! Both the plain and turmeric with cumin are great to have in the pantry!The rice grains are not overcooked and have a good amount seasoning. Nice addition to the Maya Kaimal brand!

I have purchased many other brands I liked much better. Maybe it's the type of rice (Surekha) which I had never heard of before, but I was not incredibly impressed with the taste or consistency overall. I agree with some of the other reviews that, although it is not plain rice, it still seems bland.

Easy to make and tasty but has a bit too much salt to really be healthy.

Cooks up quickly in the Microwave or stovetop as a side dish or add veggies or meat for a full meal. Tastes great!
