HP EliteBook 820 G1 12-inch Ultrabook Laptop PC (Intel Core i5-4300U, 8GB RAM, 180GB SSD, WiFi, WebCam, Windows 10 Professional 64-bit) (Renewed)

I bought this laptop as I needed something for a few work projects but didn't want to spend the earth. It had to be reasonably fast, run Windows 10 and have a relatively decent battery life.I almost bought a new Lenovo but stumbled across this HP that was refurbished. Upon reading the reviews I thought I'd have a punt!It arrived the next day. A run down of what I see as the key features.....Condition - I'd say a B+, possibly A- A few extremely minor marks. Screen & keyboard spot onBattery - Very good. Lasts around 8 hours which is fine for me and for a used one, greatSpeed of the machine - Fast. Well, certainly fast enough for me. I'm not a gamer so it's mostly running Word, Exel, internet, movies etc. These multitask without faultSize - Again, bang on the on the money for me. 14" screen and a relatively small footprint for the whole machine. Fits easily in my backpackFeatures - Very good. Wifi is very quick to connect, keyboard is well laid out and the keys have a good travel on them. Ports are plentiful although not bang up to date. 3x USB ports, Lan socket, SD card reader (full size), monitor socket. Lacking a USB C port but certainly not a deal breaker for me.Overall, for the money, this laptop was a bargain. It has all the feature that I need and a few more that I probably don't.I wouldn't hesitate to buy another!!

A bit disappointing that the WiFi drivers didn't work out of the box. I had to connect to the internet using an Ethernet cable, then update Windows and everything worked after that.Someone new to computers may have struggled with this.Otherwise the laptop is fine. It's not the fastest, and the battery life isn't amazing but considering the price it's still good value for money. It's perfectly adequate for the average user who wants to browse the web, watch Netflix and use business apps.

Didn't know what to expect! The laptop looks sleeker, slimmer and newer than the photo! It's runs very fast, great quality, super easy to set up, very functional device and will make a perfect gift! Can't believe it was actually decent!

Quite a good laptop - until the fan started to get noisy. I bought a replacement fan, but the dismantling that needed to be done is insanely ridiculous, so I didn't dare in the end. Some HP elitebooks have simple steps to replace the fan but not this model. Sadly I've been unlucky with my choice of HP laptops as the fan seems to be fragile. Avoid this model if, like me, you routinely run into fan problems.

I bought this laptop for my daughter's 11th birthday , and she loved it. The size is just right for her age, and light to carry. The delivery was super- fast. It came a day before the expected date. It was wrapped well, which pleased me. It came with the charger, and a return leaflet. The only thing i'm not impressed bot is that it didn't come with an instruction manual. But we figured it all out. It does not come with windows, or microsoft software's. We downloaded then though. I bought a case/ bag separately. My daughter is really happy. I am happy. Wonderful product. Good price. The only damage was a tiny scratch on one key. That is excellent for a refurbished laptop. I highly recommend this item. Do not hesitate. Great for tweens/ pre-teens that will start high school and need a laptop to work on. Definitely five stars.

Overall, a good computer for the money. However, it has a couple of 'faults'. Specifically, the Cursor 'button' in the middle of the keyboard doesn't work. The customer service was very good, and tried to fix the problem (remotly), but couldn't do it so gave me a £20 refund for the fault.Secondly, the 'print screen' button doesn't work. Usually, this button saves the screen image to 'screenshots' in pictures, but the engineers couldn't fix this either.

so the first laptop pitched up with a hole in the casing but was picked up in super quick time from Edge and replaced by return. this Laptop is perfect. Super slim and portable for taking to my shop. It is a really good spec for the money and the battery life is excellent. great value for money. The customer service was very good and they kept in touch through the return and replacement service. I would buy from them again.
