NatureScapes SkimmerSack II Bean Bag

Very well constructed. Works very well for resting lenses on the door window sill all the way up to the 600mm f4. I really liked the instructions suggestion of using bird seed as a filler.

Filled it with 20lbs of rice and it works like a charm, it is well made and should last. Makes shooting from the car a breeze.

It is OK, functional as designed. I have not used it a lot so far, so I cannot comment on durability. It seems a little small for some of the hardware others claim to use. I filled mine with buckwheat hulls, and it does leak some, but not much. While bird seed is great idea, it makes the bag needlessly heavy. Rice? Why? I did resort to reviews on other websites before buying. I may update this review after the snow melts here in Minnesota and I get a little more use than hanging out a vehicle window.

Pretty disappointed with this product. Purchased plastic beans like those in beanie babies and filled it up. Went to grab by one of the handles and it ripped out of the bag. I personally sewed it. Then the next day I was getting ready for a trip to the Tetons and had another handle rip out. All but one of the nylon webbing points has ripped out and been hand sewn back together by me. Not what I expected for what this thing costs. Aside from that it seems like it should be awesome.

Wow I was a little disappointed when i received my package with no filler...really 69 bucks for an empty not ready to go product. Now I have to go buy filler for something I needed ASAP. The picture on this item is misrepresenting what you get.

Love this for automobile based wildlife photography

I bought the original Naturescapes Skimmer sack many years ago. Unfortunately this got worn out and the cover nibbled by mice! The only downside of the original was it was so big and heavy this version is smaller and lighter and appears to be made of a tougher material so hopefully no longer food for mice…time will tell.

Have used it for nearly a year and its been great. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the zipper doesn’t stay completely closed and there is a slow trickle of little tiny plastic beanbag fill pellets all over the truck. Not a huge deal, they vacuum right up but it’s annoying. Fix this problem and it’s a winner.
