Lifetime 73621 48 in. Fusion Acrylic Backboard and Rim Combo

For the price, this is am amazing backboard! I purchased it for my 10 year old, and it is larger than most in this price point in my experience. The backboard is well made, and is constructed to allow for some dunking. It is not professional, and I suspect it would not hold up as such. But, for your kids, this a great option. Please note that you will need to purchase the mounting bracket. There is a universal option that we purchased that works with pole or wall placement.

Went together easy enough. I would like to have seen the backboard a little stiffer, but for the price I can not complain. I ordered this with low expectations, and it exceeded what I expected. I did order this with the Universal Lifetime Bracket, which the instructions were a little confusing, but I had it completely assembled in about 2 hours, and had it mounted and making it rain in about 3 hours. The rim is has adjustable springs, so you can leave it a little loose so the ball has more of a chance of going in, or tighten it all the way, and your shots have to be on point or the ball will bang out. It is a descent entry level goal, great for just shooting around on. I can not attest to how it holds up if you were to dunk on it, as I am too short to jump and grab the rim. It will serve the my purpose perfectly of just shooting around or playing a good game of Horse. I would highly recommend having a helper when you install this. It is not heavy at all, just bulky and difficult to lug up a ladder alone. I installed this using a two sided 8 foot ladder, so both of us could be on the ladder at the same time. All of the hardware is stainless steel which was plus and it was all there. (So no extra trips to the hardware store.) It completely assembles with simple hand tools, wrench, socket and screwdriver. As stated, I did order the Lifetime Universal Bracket and everything went together fairly smooth. Just pay close attention to the directions and you will be fine. And there will be extra parts for the multiple installation applications. Its been up for over a month now and everything is still tight and hasn't fallen off the wall yet. Will update later to see how well it holds up from the ocean breeze as we live 2 block from the beach.

The backboard is great just know that YOU HAVE TO BUY THE SUPPORT KIT FOR FOR HANGING THE BOARD. The rim is directly supported by the support kit. they should sell it with the kit but they do not.

Good replacement backboard for the money. Pretty easy to install. Took about 45 minutes.

Zero stars.......no where does it state that you need to buy another bracket for 60$ on top of this price.

I can't review on how good a board it is because I had to turn round and order a mounting bracket for another $60. It's in the instructions how to mount the thing and conveniently says bracket not included. Why isn't the bracket included??? That's the one thing you need to hang it! Half tempted to return it and buy one that has everything needed out the box.

My old Lifetime Pole and Backboard blew over one to many times and cracked the backboard. The pole has held up fine and I needed a replacement. This isn't as heavy duty as my old back board, that one was metal and weighed twice as much as this one. I will say though that this one has held up fine with no problems so far. I have the adjustable height bracket and this worked just fine with it. To tie this pole down and back board I bought 2 loop and hook anchors from home depot and a 500 lb ratchet tie down and strapped it to the ground. This one isn't going to blow over!
