YAXIHD650 Earpads

These earpads have renewed my old Sennheiser HD600. I use these headphones with a 25-year old Earmax OTL headphone. Small ensembles sound divine. Symphonic fare fares less well. But that isn't the fault of the earpads which have absolutely renewed my HD600. These earpads work less well with the Sennheiser HD6XX, making them almost too dark sounding. These are just my impressions and opinions not based on scientific comparisons. YMMV. Cheers.

Sound:There's no way around it. If you put on different pads you're going to get a different sound. Going from the stock big squishy velour pads to these thinner ones make it sound like a different headphone. Bass is now almost overwhelming, higher frequencies seem to get lost. I used to turn up the bass with these headphones, now I turn it down so I can make out the rest of the music. I've adjusted my equalizer to compensate.Comfort:Over a long period these are significantly more comfortable than the stock pads.

I absolutely love Yaxi, they make some of the comfiest pads and a lot of them sound good. Unfortunately these pads miss the mark, they're way less comfortable than stock and they make the headphones sound bloated. I would be super interested if they could make a pad that breathes better and is more shallow.

I got these for my HD660S and they fit perfectly. It's been a while and they're still some of the most comfortable ear pads I've ever had.They don't appear to affect the sound quality or tuning much, so you might be disappointed if you're looking for a small bass bump -- but they last a long time.

I'm by no means an audiophile, I love sound but am pretty terrible at discerning small differences. I got these for my 58x's. these are not a small difference. I really didn't want to spend fifty dollars for the originals again but ended up returning these and biting the bullet on the originals.I was excited to try out a bit more bass, but it came with a feeling of a closed back headphone. I put them on and it just felt muffled, and so much more closed off. I never really got a good gauge for the sound difference because it didn't really matter, the closed off feeling just ruined the feel of the headphones for me.

I purchased these for my Sennheiser HD6XX from MassDrop.The inside foam piece touched my left ear, and after hours of use it would became uncomfortable. My working enviroment allows me to wear my headphones for 10-12 hours a day so this became a serious issue for me.These earpads fixed the issue 100%. They are extremely comfortable and soft for 12+ hours of straight use. 100% worth the money.

My original ear pads for my HD 58x headphones were a bit worn out and compressed. These were easy to install and definitely brought some life back to my headset. The sound has much more bass across the board, which takes a bit of getting used to. It is a bit strange having the drivers farther away from my ears now, but I'm sure I will adjust in time. Happy so far.

I've had my HD580s for almost 15 years and the earpads were really in rough shape. I got the YAXI earpads to replace them and they work and look great! So glad I got these, they are well worth the price to keep my headphones looking and working great after all these years. Highly recommended!
