Perfect if you make kefir in WM mason jar.
This item is hard to find in the EU, and I am happy to still find them at amazon.com.I have been using this item for many years. I make milk kefir every day and find this item easy to use and easy to clean. The updated WM lids are even better than the original lids. All good stuff. The seller was very helpful and responded quickly to my question. I am completely satisfied and very happy with my purchase.Highly recommend product and seller.....

These are a time saver!
I make two quarts of kefir a day - one skim and one whole milk. These handy little cups are so wonderful and they help to get the job done quickly with zero mess. Would buy again!

Milk fat can’t escape the cage and plugs the holes
Well the idea is great, but I nearly killed my kefir grains by suffocating them in milk fat that accumulated in the cage and stopped the fresh milk from getting to them. I noticed the kefir was not thickening and tasted off. So I freed it from the cage.

Highly Recommend - have sent multiple friends here to purchase this item!
Here to re-purchase my fourth basket and so disappointed they're out of stock again! Please re-stock. They make the kefir process so much easier and are easy to clean!

Eliminates extra straining.
Really like this. Keeps the kefir grains together. For best results, be sure to stir the kefir every couple of hours as the kefir may start to clog up the cage. When the kefir is done, I just life the whole gadget up and place it in a new container of milk. No need for rinsing or other fooling around. Every couple of weeks I take the kefir grains out of the cage and manually remove kefir clumps and separate the grains. Then back they and go and seem really happy.

Impossible to clean
Heavy black mold development after 2-3 usage. Impossible to clean all small parts even after dissambly.

Kefir Easy Button
Milk kefir is SOOO simple with this little guy. Ordering a second one today (due to grain growth) to share with others. The cage does fill eventually with milk solids as reviewers note. About every 7-10 days, I shake basket contents into a small bowl, pour in some filtered water, and the solids separate easily by gentle stirring with a plastic fork. Milky white pieces are poured off with the water and the yellow-ish, firm, grains are returned to the basket.
