Zoo Med Spider Wood, Small, Perfect for Aquariums and Terrariums, 690857, Small/8-12 Inch

Some reviews stated they were unhappy and it got me thinking after I made the purchase. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it was a very nice piece. It looked similar to the picture. Looks great in my aquarium.

The media could not be loaded. This was perfect for my tank and looks great. I did boil it for a few to get rid of the tannins so it wouldn’t change the water. It did how ever change to a reddish color, but I think it adds to it and makes my tank pop. It’s really nice and the quality is great and I love the way it looked.

Ok so I understand that wood is natural therefore no two pieces look exactly alike but the piece I received was pretty disappointing. there are three rather large and off-puttingly placed sticks jutting randomly out of a knot about the size of your hand… I am planning on purchasing again in hopes of receiving better pieces… size discription accurate. Sturdy and clean wood.

The media could not be loaded. Very nice piece of spider wood. It was just the right size for my hermit crab tank. Very nice quality wood. I will be buying another one when I upgrade my tank.

This drift wood is sold as light color , low in tannins. The manufacturer recommends boil it before use. I did boil it for 4 hours as recommended and then put it in the tank…. In the morning the water was brown. I took the wood out, cleaned my fish tank and then boiled it again for long hours every day for a week. It continued staining the water even after a week. I threw it out. I wish I could return it for a refund. I don’t recommend it .

I received a piece of wood that only had a few branches and didn’t have a flat base to stand upright. It could only be layed down on the bottom of the tank. I wanted an upright piece of wood so I returned this piece.
