Great DisplayPort adapter
I could not get my 5K monitor to recognize the surface laptop 3 over the usb-c connections from the doc. This adapter solved the problem and now my monitor runs great @ 60hz. Using the LG5K 34 inch monitor with surface laptop 3 and dock.

One of the best USB-C adapters
I don't know why but a lot of USB-C adapters just don't hold up, but Microsoft's adapters have always given me little issues and these USB-C to DisplayPort adapters have been flawless.

Functionality limited to 640x480.
This functionality was broken in a patch, and after two years it's unlikely that it will be restored. The device will only display at 640x480, and it is no longer the early nineties so that is not acceptable.

If anyone is interested... it is able to do 5120x1440 at 120hz from my Surface Laptop 3.

Very unhappy
Advertised as a Microsoft USB Type-C to DP adapter and received a CableCreation DP to HDMI adapter. HUH??!! Literally got it ALL wrong.
