Perfect replacement and cost-saving repair
My usual plumber tried to talk me out of replacing just this valve cartridge on my Zurn eco-flush-equipped toilet (one of two in my house,) so I elected to try the repair myself. When initially installed, the new cartridge leaked (so the water ran into the bowl and the tank would never pressurize. I removed the cartridge, moved the o-ring on the cartridge so it more closely matched the placement in the how-to video I watched. This time, there were no leaks when the cartridge was re-installed. The toilet is working perfectly, now.
