Q: Would this be suitable for pjs?

Yes it's ideal. I've had it for a long nightdress .. just a little tip . . For any material that is , delucate, shiny , slippy or stretchy, wrap 2 pieces of masking tape around your sewing feet.... I wasn't sure it would work but it did !!! It was brilliant.

Q: Are the colours true to image? I want to buy the gold xx

I thought the silver was more like a light green but the other colours very similar
