I have a 5 year old and i tried standard legos with him and was a no go this size is perfect and is compatible with duplo , he gets bored of other toys quickly but he always returns to play with the blocks, the bosrd is big and you can do a lot . Im happy with the buy

The product works great and exactly what I had in mind. As you can see from the pictures, the edges is round which is safer however could not be used to the full potential. It fits with my son's Lego Duplo collection nicely. The base plate is very well made and also hard sturdy definitely not bendable so I guess you have to have a container of some sort if you want to travel around with it.

Works with MegaBloks, which is why I needed it for my 3 YO. But it would be better if the surface nodes were a bit taller, to help the MegaBloks stay on better. They still fit, but due to their height ratio to the smaller node/buttons on the baseplate grid, the larger blocks can pop off easily. The 3 YO gets frustrated with that.

This is the second time I have purchased a baseplate from strictly bricks. I was very pleased with the price and quality of the first one and this second purchase is no different. My kids use these all the time when playing with their duplos. They are well worth the money!

We bought our 4 year old grandson a set of Lego Duplo building blocks. He loves them and spends a lot of time building things with them. He would get very frustrated when things would not stay together. My husband suggested getting him a larger base to build on so we purchased this Premium Blue Base Plate from Amazon. It gives him a larger base to build on and his projects don't fall apart any more. However, I wish it was made a little thicker. It works great when he is building at the table or on the hardwood floor. But it tends to "give" when he presses Duplo pieces on it when he is playing on the carpet. We solved the problem by putting a cookie sheet underneath it when he is on the carpet. The thickness is why I only gave this item 4 stars.

Great item! Purchased this for a great-nephew who had broken the building base for his larger style Lego-type building blocks. Safe rounded corners. Arrived promptly and was well packaged.

These were exactly what we were looking for to add stability to larger builds. Work perfectly with duplos!

Using 168 blocks, this platform made the creation easy to move. Fun for our three year old grandson.
