The item was as of good quality. The woodwork detailing work is great. However, one spoke in the wheel is a bit loose, which is why I'm giving 1 star less. delivered after a LONG delay by the seller: so lateness is a problem.

Great looking steering wheel, soon to be on display for Halloween. Very sturdy.boy I'm not sure what else to say in this review, how many characters are required? I guess a few more. , it's a nice steering wheel. Real nice. Nicest steering wheel that I've bought in a while. I bought a wheel for a wheelbarrow a few years ago, not a steering wheel, but this purchase will be great for a display. More characters??? Sturdy!
This is not some cheap ship’s wheel. This thing is solid! I’m using it as a prop for a pirate ship trunk or treat and it is amazingly real. And heavy.

TERMITES
This item arrived with termites in the wood. After hanging it on the wall, I noticed wood dust and holes all over it. So far, it seems like they're only in this item and haven't gotten into anything else in the house, but I'm probably going to be paranoid for the next year now. Thanks a lot.

It will work for what we need.
We are using this wheel as part of our outdoor Halloween decorations. We bought the cheapest option in this size. If you are buying it to display in your home, I would be wary. There was a lot of chipped paint, especially around the center of the wheel which looks to be metal under the paint. The packaging was excellent and there didn't appear to be any damage in transit. The handles were unattached and you screw them on after unpacking - this was easy to do. Again, they were packaged well.We will probably be putting a new layer of paint on it and it will serve our purposes well. Just beware if you are buying it for home decor.

Solid construction.
I bought one of these six years ago - and installed it outdoors on a ship-swingset for grandkids. Worked great and held up well for years - considering it is not meant for serious outdoor use. It has a metal internal center - helping it spin on a center bolt you supply. Big ice storm finally did in the first one. Just bought a second one - also solid. Recommend - especially if you want a realistic indoor decoration, or strong toy.
