Excellent Bart Cham Dao
It is a magnificent piece.Good balance. A grip that offers a solid grip even in wet conditions.Few pieces are on the market ready for battle. Additionally, it offers a weight that gives forcefulness but allows good maneuverability compared to other much heavier offers on the market. The case offers safety in transport and ease of placement in different ways.I am very satisfied with this acquisition.

Solid, but with fit and finish issues
I was looking for a pair of tough Butterfly Swords for target cutting, and these are that, but...Other reviewers have noticed machining and finish issues, and so did I. The right hand blade is an ounce lighter than the left (1lb 2oz vs 1lb 3oz), and that seems to be because the right blade tapers significantly thinner to the tip than the left. Also, as many others have noted, the blades bend slightly inwards so that the tips press together when both are held in one hand, but this actually seems to help me hold them together. More oddly, the inside edges of the D-guards (where your hands don't contact) are beveled, but the edges of the grips themselves are all sharp. These made them painful to wield, but once I took about a millimeter off those corners, the swords felt MUCH better in hand. I also did this to the hooks, increasing their flipping potential. However, with a point of balance 3/4" from the guard, flipping is not very positive.Another strange design choice was the one-sided lanyard holes in each blade: they go through the inside tang and come out through the bottom of the grip. If they went through the outside of the grips and then out the bottom, this would allow the knives to sit flat against each other with lanyards. And if the knives don't sit flat, they don't go in the sheath. As noted by other reviewers, the sheath retention is very tight. I could not release them using the same technique I use with similar Secure-X sheaths--pressing with my thumb at the back--as the retention is at the front of the grips. I found it best to wedge my index finger in between the lips and pry them apart to release the swords. Also, one blade can be pulled out without the other, leaving the other knife loose in the sheath. On to the good stuff: The knives came with ragged edges that sharpened up nicely, and these things are excellent cutters. I even managed some good cuts with the knives held together. (They are single-sided bevels, so may take some getting used to.) The finish has shown some rubbing where the knives press against each other, but has held up well during use so far. No edge or finish damage cutting cardboard, or striking my dry bamboo and wooden "pell" targets. The tips are definitely designed for thrusting--I urge caution in practicing as they may bite you. Build is very solid, with good edge hardness.Once I rounded off some of the corners on the grips, these feel surprisingly good in hand, and I can see the potential for utility use as well as martial arts practice. Overall, I'm very happy I took a chance on these.

These knives suck!!!!
Another cheap piece of useless trash from this line of garbage. Came bent like a cheap toy.

A good deal for 2 full tang D-guard almost 11” blades.
I wasn’t looking for Butterfly Swords so take that into consideration in my review. What I was looking for is a parrying blade and with its hook top quillion for blade trapping, D-guard for hand protection, G10 handle scales single piece full tang construction, this fit the bill. I As you will see and read in other reviews there are inconsistencies between the blade so they are not perfectly symmetrical. They also come with sharp corners on the handles which I cleaned up with a diamond file to knock the edge off the steel tang and an emery board on the G-10 so I bumped them a point but not bad for what I got at $105 a blade.

Wing Chun knives not buttfly swords
So I've done a good amount of YouTube research on these kind of weapons and these are a modern take on the baat jaam do which are the smaller siblings of butterfly swords.these are very good knife but don't try flipping them like you would sai or butterfly swords because the guard at too angular and tight to comfortably hold in the reverse position but the baat jaam do aren't made for that and the shorter thrust focused bladed work a lot better in close quarters to make up for itAnd if you want to carry them I'd recommend getting something similar to a teclock and maybe an under the armpit rig if you want to conceal them

Bent, heavy, and impossible to remove with one hand from sheath.
Product was around 2 pounds with both blades and sheath. Blades were misaligned. Sheath was way too stiff

“These weapons WILL CUT!! 😁
I was pretty impressed when I pulled these swords out of the packaging. They are extremely sturdy & feel durable, however I haven’t had a chance to really test the durability yet, and they are perfectly straight and fit together perfectly in the sturdy provided sheathing. They look just like the images, and came sharpened as advertised! I’m not talking just a “sharpened edge”, these babies “will cut!”So be cautious if you’re doing any wing chun sword forms because these bad boys will nip you if you’re not. ;)
