Great emergency AC power for gas furnace & fridge
The 1000W unit ran flawlessly from my Prius car during a 12+ hr power outage (56hrs). It was used to power our fridge and gas furnace during an Austin winter storm.Performance: supplied both furnace (400W) and fridge (400W). The Prius supplied 12V DC directly from it’s starter battery. The car was left running which kept the battery fed from the car’s 100A charging system. Peak load was 80% and the inverter max temperature was 43C.Installation: Furnace power line was modified to add an AC/Generator isolation switch (DPDT), 40 ft AC ‘feed’ extension cord and a dual AC outlet. A electrician is recommended to do this to code.At the Prius 12V battery, a 150A DC quick connect was wired and routed to the back hatch area. The mating half of the connector was wired to the Novopal.Operation: Switch the furnace AC isolator from ‘AC’ to ‘Generator’. Connect the Novopal DC quick connect to the Prius battery. Connect the furnace extension cord to the Inverter. Turn on the Prius. Turn on the inverter & confirm that DC and AC voltages are OK. Add more extension cords to the furnace outlet to power the fridge, etc. Monitor the Novopal power gage & Temperature. In my case, the Prius was backed up to the garage door on the driveway where the extension cord was connected ( door closed to keep exhaust fumes from entering dwelling). My furnace closet is 30 ft from the Garage. The Lennox gas furnace needs about 4A peak to power its controller and Blower motors.Notes: 1. You need a vehicle with at least an 80A charging system for the 1000W inverter. My PriusV had a 100A supply.2. The Prius automatically runs the gas engine as needed to charge its 40Ah 12V battery. About 2 gallons of gas was consumed in 12hrs.3. Load varied from 10-80% with the 2 inverter fans coming on when unit's temperature rose above 40C.UPDATE after 56hrs of Continuous Use:1. The Prius used about 7.5 gallons gasoline for the 56 hr outage (3.2gallons per 24 hrs). I was able to add a 2nd Refrigerator and a few USB Chargers without exceeding the load rating of the System (1000W).2. The Invertor and Prius ran continuously for 56 hours with no hiccups.3. Most cars and light trucks have at least 80Amp 12V Charging systems, so I expect that the Novopal can be connected directly to the vehicle battery and have sufficient current.

Inverter
Holy cow. This is the best inverter I've ever installed in our truck. We needed it to run an oxygen concentrate. Works great, easy instalation, and easy to use.

Beyond Expectations
I was not sure of performance and durability of this 1000 watt unit when I purchased, as it was paired with 100 amp Lifepo4 battery. It was well appointed with outlets and double fans and remote. I tested with 750 watt ceramic heater setting and even threw it into default by increasing heater to 1500 watt setting. It defaulted in about 2-3 seconds. Fans cycle on and off easily for 750 watt heater. I drew Lifepo4 all the way down and it ran this load for over 2hrs 20 minutes. It never overheated and I could easily touch the heat sinks, so it was not laboring with fans regularly cycling. I highly recommend unit. Have not tried to detect RFI yet on Ham Radio equipment but normally would expect some with these lower priced inverters.

Low output
This inverter provides an excellent near-pure sine wave. It's able to start a refrigerator, fans, capacitive loads with large jolts like powering on an entertainment center with central control (everything is powered off [same as unplugged] until one is turned on and the relay turns all on at once, same as plugging them in all at the same time). It has a good display, although a display of wattage or VA would be helpful. Comes with a small hand wrench for first time installers, extra fuses in case of someone overusing it...Two downsides (always have to be, apparently). The DC input lines they provide are about 1 foot long and very rigid, and the DC posts on the unit have very small-in-diameter posts and nuts. The second major downside is the unit provides 111 volts out on no load, and drops to 108 under a 200W load. Lower than that under heavier loads. Also shows higher utilization under switched loads (like wall warts for charging, the power supply for pretty much everything including computers; everything uses switched power supplies now instead of inductive transformers like the past. Anyway, the load shows higher under lower loads, which is sort of counter-intuitive. A refrigerator using 150W shows a 10-14% load, and a 104W TV/sound load using switching power supplies shows 30-36% load. The unit should provide (in the U.S., anyway) 120V nominal and avoid dropping below 114 under the heaviest loads. The refrigerator I mentioned has a hard time starting and struggles more to run and maintain coolant pressure not because of a bad sine wave, but because of low voltage.I could use this device to take input from a battery bank and act as a charger for a better-suited supply unit, like an EcoFlow portable unit or something of that nature, but the low voltage is quite dangerous to equipment, provided it drops below 108, and that's usually the lowest rating on most devices.Again, other than the low voltage and middle-of-the-road power display, the unit provides an excellent wave and draws batteries down near their minimum, so it's useful for solar or emergency backup situations where batteries are needed until they're near 10.8v at times.

Worst Product you could buy
It only work for two weeks before it failed completely. It was connected to my solar system as a replacement invertor off-grid. After receiving another to replace the defective invertor it failed after one month as well.

Works as designed
It's been online about two weeks now. I use it to power a storage container, so far voltage and power rating are constant. It's able to handle the power demands.
