Strong jab compared to other folding jab saws, rasp is more useful than you might think.
Much more ridged locked position, Its much better than the Milwaukee and Lenox jab saws I used to use..It sacrafices the utility of being able to swap the blade, but it more than makes up for this with much more effective jabbing, though its still not on par with your average strait blade jab saw.( not that I expected it to be), you won't have to deal with putting holes in your back pocket or tool belt like you do with strait blades.I didn't think I'd need the rasp, I had always just rasped with the blade. But I greatly underestimated the effectiveness of a proper rasp. It shaves smoothly and precisely. It have proven itself invaluable for cutting in retrofit can lights. Retrofits require a hole slightly larger than their size. So if you use a matching sized hole saw, it'll be too small. This rasp allows me to use a hole saw, and bore it to size in seconds.I honestly find myself using the rasp more than the saw, as I usually make my cuts into drywall with a multitool, to minimize the chance of cutting something in the wall.

Sweet rock saw!!!
I'm a gear fanatic. I research every tool extensively before I buy it. Here is my review.Pros.Wonderful little jab saw. I like it because it folds up like a pocket knife. It comes with the saw and rasp all in one. That means you never have to stop and look around for your rasp or look around for the saw. It's all in one. The yellow next to the black makes it easy to fine in your tool belt. Folded up it fits perfectly in a medium size slot of a tool belt. It's light weight and has a nice little hole for a lanyard if you ever decide to use it with a lanyard.I have a couple of other jab saw/rasp combos. They don't fold up and the rasp is separate from the saw. The saw would stick out like a spike if I put it in my tool belt. This is just a much safer and better design. I love this tool. Makes me look professional. lol

Pretty good for a weekend warrior/ light use
Works well for my needs. I like that I have two pieces of equipment in one. I think as others have mentioned it could be more sturdy. The knife/saw has lots of lateral play. For my needs it is fine. I don't do drywall for a living and the few projects I have used it for it seems sturdy enough. The convenience and cost outweigh the durability and usability concerns because I'm not a pro. Since it is dewalt I would have expected a more pro grade type of item but I think those days are long gone for dewalt. The rasp is not very aggressive but I have never used another one so maybe that is normal. The saw is plenty aggressive and cuts well but when you try to cut a circle it gets a little tough because of that lateral play in the tool. Happy to have it and it shipped/arrived quickly.

Solid tool, No Complaints. Thank you DeWalt
Used it for one outlet so far, and it seems solid. Certainly a smidge of wiggle in the blade but it is truly minuscule and has no effect on operation at all. It does not seem like the tool will break or be compromised at all by having 2 tools in 1.As with many DeWalt products, I have no complaints and look forward to using this on more projects. Most all of my tools are DeWalt branded and I like consistency. If you didn't already know, Stanley tools is the same as DeWalt now but cheaper. Almost every tool in the DeWalt lineup has an identical twin in the Stanley lineup but Stanley is less expensive. If you're not a slave to the brand, buy the cheaper Stanley tool.Doug BuchanBuchanConsulting.com

Solid tool and extremely handy
I love this product for drywall. It is super handy with the capability to fold up easy to carry and has a saw to cut and a drywall file to fine tune for fitment. Use this alot at work and still works great.

Works well, love the folding up feature.
This is my second one, love it. It is kept in the tool bag and has proven to be invaluable. The folding up style saves space in the tool bag and keeps there from being anything damaged or poked from the sharp point.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING
First let me say the fact that you can combine rasp and jab saw is great. Those are 2 of the most highly used tools in drywall work. You can also use it when making small patches as well so any tradesman should have it from pluming to electrical. You will run into some drywall and the jab saw allows you to make quick cuts and holes. The rasp allows you to file the Sheetrock so you have a smooth edge to but up against when patching. It will make your job a whole lot easier. The next thing is that it stores away and minimalist approach to tools. When i had jab saw along i would wrap it so i dont accidentally cut myself reaching into tool bag, it is very sharp. Now it can easily store away and i had rasp right in had as well, just have to flip and change in couple seconds. The body of the tool is very hard and can manage some drops and slips. The grip is great and nice fit in your hand. Now the bad I have purchased a few of these and first worked great, second rasp was dull, third rasp broke off after about a month. So all in all this is a great tool if you get one that works. The idea behind it is fantastic but I would say your are better off buying them seperate or just using this for the jab saw function. If you only plan to do a few jobs also good for you. But as for as reliability with heavy use it will fail particularly the rasp. Hope this helps you with your purchase if so please hit the like button takes a second and lets me know spending time to write this helped someone.

Weak folding zone
The screw where the saw folds comes loose frequently causing the saw to wobble while using.
