Question Seeing slow progress which is great. He liked it. Supplemented with small can of wet food and daily treats.

A lot of dollars for a prescription dry cat food. Yet, my cat charmed to it right away. Myself, I don't care about the scent or flavor. I'm not eating it. The cat likes it and that is what matters. More important, this dry cat food apparently has successfully resolved the health issues, which required a prescription diet.

the only reason I give one star shy is because it seems overpriced and I hate having to get the prescription renewed. It keeps the urinary crystals from happening and he was peeing blood and cloudy sludge from the crystals so it did basically save his life and he has to have a little of this daily or a few times a week to keep that from happening again. the CD is the maintenance prevention of crystals in the urine and the SD is if there are crystals or blockage that needs to be dissolved. It's keeping him from having the problem so it's expensive but better than the alternative of losing him to complete bladder blockage and backing up into the kidneys. Also have switched to a lot of home made food like chicken quarters cooked from scratch, no bones but cartilage and skin, it's cheaper and healthier than canned food and the canned food may have been contributing to the crystals and blockages. But we still give some of this dry food frequently to prevent those issues again. You have to feed your affected cat in a room by themself when feeding this, they do like it a lot and will eat it, they dont like the canned version at all but they love the dry, and any other pets will want to eat it too but they dont need it and it's too expensive so you have to feed your affected cat separately and also keep this in the fridge, or in a metal can, etc something so no rat , no other pet, etc can get into it and eat it, its very expensive. Keep it in a cool place in summer so the oils don't go rancid, just like you would with any dry pet food.

The cats just eat it right up, and it keeps my big boy on track. Greatly worth it.

My overweight cat loses weight while eating this. I suggest mixing this with other cat food your cat is used to. My cat eats fish flavors so it is essential that we combinevthe two.

Just wish you didn't have to have a prescription for this . My cats love it!
