Can’t transform manually
With batteries and turned on, it changes from car to Dino and back while making noise + music and driving a little. But you can’t make it stay in the two positions when it’s off. You can move it, but it won’t stay transformed. So you really can’t use it without batteries.

My 4 year old grandson was so excited when he opened this and started playing with it. It doesn't come with batteries so I installed them before wrapping it up for Christmas. It was a hit. Bright and rolls around on it's own. Cute when it transforms into dinosaur with it's roar.

My nephew loved it! Not overly loud, just enough to create excitement when turning from car to dinosaur. Was a hit at Christmas!

Annoying....
My son loves it so that's why it earned some stars. As a parent this is one of the most annoying toys we have ever bought our children. No volume control and it is just this continuous annoying music that plays while Dino does its tricks. Just doesn't stop and it is loud. If you could turn off the music part and let it do it's thing the toy would be full stars. Not parent approved.

Easy set up. Just put the batteries in it and watch it transform! We bought three of these as Christmas gifts and they were well played with.
