It has a good grip. Weighs about right
Expensive but worth it. We use it on a daily basis to chop vegetables and meat (you want to avoid the bones though). It has a good grip. Weighs about right. Stays sharp for a long time. It's easy to sharpen with a Wusthof knife sharpener. I think it will last for ever.

Awesome knives!
Awesome knives! The entire set is worth the price. Sharp right out of the box and easy to sharpen. Watch your fingers!

Worth the money
Sweet knife, pun intended. But I would expect nothing less from a Wusthof Classic. It is extremely sharp. I use it for cutting heavy meat and hard vegetables. Not bone, but it will go through a chicken bone with ease. I love it. I have four Wusthof Classic knives, and it you cook, they are worth the money.

Finally I have a Chinese Chef's Knife that matches that rest of the Wusthof Classic Knives in my Knife Block.
I have a very large collection of Wusthof Classic Knives which I started when I decided to upgrade my knife collection from the very nice Chicago Cutlery Walnut Tradition Knives which I planned on passing down to my younger sister. One of my favorite knives once I got it has always been the Chinese Chef's Knife also known as a Vegetable Cleaver. I was very disappointed when I found out that it was only offered in the Gourmet Line of Wusthof Knives, but now I have one that matches all of the rest of my Wusthof Classic Knives in my knife block except my trusty 8" Bullnose Butchers Knife and my 10" Scimitar shaped Slicing Knife which is indispensable when it comes to slicing any kind of melon, but especially Spaghetti Squash or the other kinds of hard shelled squash I occasionally buy, but Spaghetti Squash is one of my Favorites. Unfortunately Wusthof has made these two knives remail eye sores in my Knife Block because they are the Chicago Cutlery Versions and NOT the Wusthof Classic Versions that I would like to replace them with (HINT). With my last few additions to my Knife Collection it has made my Knife Block too small to hold them all so I have drawn up plans for a New Larger Knife Block that I plan on making out of a buch of Nice Red Oak I have in my lumber rack. Now come on Wusthof, how about making these two very nice and useful knives because I know that they would sell very well.

No regrets dropping $200 on this bad boy.
This has changed the way I chop. I'm actually better at other knives because this knife taught me to chop properly.I rarely touch the ~$2000 worth of other Wustof knives I have since I got this one.

Good quality knife with room to improve
Like all my Wusthof knives, this is a very good quality knife. It cuts very well and can be easily sharpened by Wusthof sharpener. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is it’s handle. The knife handle is a little small and not as smooth as same price category Japanese knives. In this aspect, High end Japanese knives are amazingly user friendly.

Love this knife
Love this knife. Switched from a classic chef knife and I might not ever go back. The weight is lovely, and the extra space on the knife is great for quick working. The factory edge was excellent. And most other staff members are afraid of it... especially the waiters.
