Seem to be pretty tough.i have 6 320 watt pannels on one and haven't fried it yet.bought a second one for backup.its been problibly 2 years charging 8 wallmart deep cycle batteries.

Works great wish they had a bigger port for the wires to insert a little on the small side

I finally decide to install this 100amp controller to replace my 25 years old 40amp Trace since I've add 3 panel of 100watts. Well It worked fine for a week as we had very cloudy weather, and then it start over heating and the plastic cover melted away as the LCD became black. All panels connected would not bring over 50amps maximum, so I guess this controller does not deliver what he promised. Anyway this does not work. Don't buy it unless you want your house to burn down.

Obviously this charge controller price is what led me to buy it for trying out.Using 6 100 watt panels and on clear sunny days this device gets super hot. I don't imagine adding more power/heat would help that at all.I wouldn't trust my life using this device, and most certainly will not put 100 amps through it, but in a lower wattage setup it may work ok. I'd have to say 400 watts or less is all this should handle.Connectors are not large enough to accommodate the wiring size needed to support even smaller load wire gauges. They certainly wouldn't handle the full load of this device as advertised.

Product was compact , worked as it was expected, easy to setup , arrived quick and I damaged.
