a little more comfortable, better shape
I was looking for something that resembled a duffle bag only, a little more comfortable, better shape, and without the bag-weight itself. This fit the bill! I have an on-site laundry facility but, man, it sucks trying to haul rectangular baskets to and from. I even resorted to loading them into my car and driving a mere 150 feet to the destination (pathetic, I know), only to find them toppled over upon arrival. This product is lightweight yet durable! Honestly, I've piled at least 6 loads in this ONE BAG on numerous occasions with room to spare. It seems to have invisible stretching qualities as it never wants to bust even when I know it probably should. Was it heavy to carry? Of course! But it didn't break my back, my hands were free to open doors, and the straps didn't cut into my shoulders. It has a tight, draw sting strap on top so I never lose any articles of clothing in transit... I can't count how many times I've lost a pair of PINK underwear in the parking lot, leaving my son to retrieve them hours later because I was too embarrassed to do so! The material is super easy to clean (it feels silky v. canvas) and doesn't contribute to back sweat... I spilled droplets of TIDE on the bag but it wiped clean with a wet paper towel. No stains! It dried within minutes too, in the winter. I also throw it on the laundry room floor and it refuses to stain or pick up dirt (I spray Lysol on it when I get home). My 12-year-old son (aka "Laundry Room Assistant") has even commented on this bag! He carries it, fully loaded, no problem. He said "This is pretty cool mom." The two, built in circles at the top of the bag are sturdy and perfect for hanging. I hang my bag on sticky hooks in the hallway: One hook for low/half full bag (so it hangs sideways), then when the bag becomes full I just put the other end of the bag on hook #2 for full support. It's not hanging in mid-air by the way, I have the bottom of the bag flush with the floor. One time the shoulder strap slipped out while I was walking due to the weight of my obvious overloading, so I just double looped it when I got home. Problem solved! Seriously, I had it packed so tightly the bag probably weighed more than I did. There's no "FUN" in laundry, but this sure makes the process a lot easier! No space consuming baskets allowed in my apartment ever again. It's nice to be able to throw it in the car and take it to a friend's house (I'm not above doing that) without having to call out the National Guard to help load. I just throw it in the backseat and don't have to worry about buckling it in like I did my old hunk of junk - as if that ever worked anyway! I'm a single mom with a growing boy - I bought this bag with my own money, on a whim. So glad I did!

I LOVE THIS THING
I LOVE THIS THING. i live in queens, ny, no car, no working laundry machine in building. boyf or i usually carry one huge load, and it's not comfortable. well i got one of these for me and told him to use his own laundry bag. we each brought our laundrybag to the laundromat today (i used this for the first time) and i was like "THIS THING IS AWESOME!" so easy to carry and it held a lot. we had like 3 weeks of laundy. i had sheets, multiple shirts, 3 fleece long sleeved shirts, underwear, bras, 10 leggings, sheets, and it all fit. yes he had his own bag too, but he doesnt ahve one with straps. i think im going to buy him one. so easy to carry, really a joy not to have to struggle and carry crap around. also it looks nicer than it does in pictures, sheenier and a nice rich color (i got the army green.) i wish i had gotten this years ago. it's lightweight but strong. granted i've only used it today....if it falls apart i will update my review. another plus - this is big, but the sight of it filling up is a visual cute for me to let me know it's time to do the laundry. otherwise we wait two months and have to do like six loads and it's hell. it's a great size and i couldnt recommend it more.

Good but wish they made easy for laundering
While this is a good quality bag and straps, it has adjustable plastic backpack straps which come unraveled in the wash. Noone wants to mess with the straps during the laundry - especially people that need a bag to transport the laundry to a laundromat or other facility. The bag would be perfect if the straps were a medium length without any adjustable straps, just one solid strap. Also the 1 instead of 2, I don't see myself wearing this as a backpack, but over one shoulder to keep the hands free. Please make these bags with one solid strap!

Solid, foldable, easy to carry laundry bag
This is better than a laundry basket, because it folds nicely into a little square of fabric that you can slip just about anywhere. When it is being used, the fabric is solid, water-proof, and there are nice straps to either sling it over the shoulder, or carry it like a backpack. This is a really well-designed laundry bag, that I couldn't recommend strongly enough: 1) Takes little room when not being used, 2) Very roomy and can transport up to two large commercial loads, 3) The straps provide a good point of grip, and allow the bag to be carried a few different ways comfortably, 4) Clothes are protected and waterproof. This can be used to carry clean laundry too (but I don't use it for that).---If you find this review useful, don't forget to indicate so. I am writing this because I find other people's reviews useful, and the fake reviews to be particularly irksome. Thanks! -- JL

Useful and has held up to wear and tear
Update: I’ve had this bag for a while now and it still holds up really well. I don’t stuff it as full as I used to, but it’s where I stash all my laundry and it is ridiculously convenient to carry to the laundromat. Highly recommend!Love this bag!!! I live in NYC and have to walk my laundry about 1/3rd a mile every weekend to the laundromat. I typically carry 3 or 4 loads (towels, clothes, sheets, bed quilt, and a small throw blanket) and it holds up well even if I’ve got it stuffed to the gills.Yes, tie the knot in the string after filling the bag like people have suggested in previous reviews. If not, the top of the bag will loosen. Also, yes, reinforce the sides of the bag if you have anymore than one or two loads that you carry in it consistently. Mine started to come apart after a month so I just threw a few stitches in it to hold it together and bam-good as new. It’s great for anyone needing to carry your clothes, whether you live in a big city without a washer/dryer in your apartment of your a college student using communal machines or anyone else in between...
