SPACE Air Grid Mid-Back Swivel Chair, Black, 20-1/2 x 19-1/2 x 42h

Bought one of these in 2005 (yes 17 years ago) and bought another one a month ago. The two chairs seem to be identical. The 2005 one has held up great....going strong and still in use. Only issue is the foam in the seat cushion has compressed...totally normal after 17 years, and still useable, but the seat is now rock hard. At about 15 years I did a couple repairs....replaced the armrest pads and the air piston height adjustment piece (bought generic parts on Amazon). Looks like maybe Office Star would have replaced the piston under warrantee if I asked. The rest of the chair...the frame, back, fabric, casters....are all original and seem to be preforming good as new.The new chair seems to be identical (on the left in the picture), so I expect good performance from the new one. As a plus, these are made in Taiwan, not China.Regarding the fit and sizing, I am guessing that a shorter individual who wants to sit with their feet resting on the floor would find the seat height a bit too high. I am 5' 11", 200+ LBS and I think the sizing is excellent. This is not a cheap cushy chair that provides no support. This has good structure and is comfortable for long workdays.

I’ve had this chair for a month and I work 8-9 hour days M - F.Started working from home July 2021 and I’ve had 4 other office chairs but none of them worked out because the seats were really uncomfortable by the end of a day. I’ve tried an expensive all mesh chair, an expensive leather executive chair, and two big box office store chairs that were returned within the first week.This chair seat is very comfortable and supportive, and the back allows for air circulation. I ordered the fabric seat since I find leather/pleather a bit slippery causing frequent adjustments throughout the day in the way I sit.I like that the arm rest height is adjustable, so I can lower them at end of the day and slide chair under desk.I’m 5’3” and find the chair comfy at a lower setting. My husband is 6’0” and is comfortable with the seat at a higher setting. My son is 6’2” and found the chair a bit too small.Chair super easy to assemble. Make sure you pay attention to instructions as the direction of pieces during assembly is important.Also, remember to tighten screws on chair every few months.

GOOD PURCHASE for PICKY SHOPPER! This is really Good chair that I recommend and would buy again! I am taking the time to write this review, because when I was searching for a chair, I wanted some real feedback. I originally tried to save some costs and first bought a chair for about $100 that had ok reviews, but I bought it more for the $100 price. After sitting in that chair, I knew it wasn't right so I went to Amazon and started reading A LOT of chair reviews. This chair seemed to have the best assortment of positive and some negative reviews, and it mentioned really important things to me: Good ratings, good for back/support, etc.. So, even though it was a little more expensive than what I had wanted (was really looking for a $100 chair) and I paid about $50 more for this one ($150-ish) but I am THRILLED! It's very well built, easy to assembly and I think (knowing Amazon's excellent return process - print out pre-paid return label and drop it off at the UPS store) it was a worry-free type of purchase if I didn't like it. I am fairly big guy and this chair is comfortable for all day use - the soft, but firm arm rests are great. I am VERY SATISFIED with this chair and would have given it a 5 if the bottom cushion was adjustable to slide in/out (the chair and arms lower/raise - but the seat cushion is fixed - which might be why it's so comfortable and great support). I have had it about 2-3 weeks.

This chair was bought for my husband to use for computer gaming. I was hoping to find something that he could enjoy sitting in for many hours at a time. This turned out to be such a great chair he got one for the office too. The chair was easy to assemble and came with everything needed. I like that the arms are an option as he is a bigger guy and does not like to feel all confined. The chair also is very tall in my opinion I mean I am 5'4 and with the chair at maximum height my feet don't even touch the floor making me feel somewhat like a toddler. The seat portion is very thick, you can't feel any plastic or metal as you can in some other office chairs. All in all semi like a very nice chair for the price, I also believe it will hold up for quiet sometime.

I pored over reviews of office furniture, and this one seemed to be touted as being the equivalent or better than the Herman Miller Aeron. We purchased this to replace an Aeron (the bare bones model) that was returned for a refund. Not only is this chair way more comfortable, but the price makes it an excellent choice. It was easy to put together, feels very sturdy, and the armrests are large and flat so you don't feel like you're having to balance yourself. Something about Herman Miller chairs always felt "gluey" to me...and this chair has none of that. The seat cushion is firm and has just enough give, and the back support seems to be placed perfectly.

This chair WAS ok whilst it lasted about 6-8 months THEN the seating part started to sag and get "loose". Now a few years later and i actually hate sitting in it...its ridiculous. I have so much back pain from sitting in this chair and my herman miller (mesh) chairs that the ONLY way i can get relief from the pain is if i actually STAND at my desk :(I miss my old leather chair...mesh is for basketball shorts...stay away from these neo-ergo comfortable mesh garbage chairs!Trust me and stick to a nice leather padded chair office chair for $100 at Costco/BJ's/Sam's Club...at least they honor a crappy product and will allow a refund or store credit. My wife told me to sell the chair....its SOOO bad that i dont want to make anyone else as miserable as i am with this back pain. LISTEN TO ME! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
