Sturdy but folds up if you need bed space!
Very easy to install. If you have a BakFlip already this is great. It's not super large, but I just needed it to store my ratchet straps, tow strap and hitch and different size trailer balls. I'll probably put my jumper cables and a tool bag in here too. It folds down and up against the front of the cab too, so it gives back a lot of bed space if you need it.6-17-18 I forgot to mention, make sure you put the side brackets in with the velcro facing the tailgate. I didn't and ALMOST had to take the entire thing back out. But I had some velcro strips and I just put them in the right place and was able to keep on trucking! After a week, I really like this tool box. I had an old Sears mechanics set I carry with me in the plastic case. The BakBox is too small for it to fit and the bed cover close, so I am just going to go to Harbor Freight and buy a canvas bag to put those tools in and then I will be good to go.

DOES NOT FIT - LITERALLY 8" TOO SHORT...AT LEAST...
Was excited to install this...researched and was "told" that this would fit. unpacked, started to install, and realized it's literally 8-10" too short. Like "on-another-planet-too-short". How the heck are they that off? Waste of time. won't even try to find another. Not worth it. BUYER BEWARE. I put 1 star because I'm able to return it at no cost to me, so at least that's a plus....out of a bunch of negatives...

Good medium-duty utility box.
I wouldn't fill this with a dozen heavy tools or anything but it's a good little added storage area for your truck bed. Obviously there's no access to the box without raising your entire tonneau, so it's not exactly quick access, but it fits well, installs easily, and is generally useful.

Easy to install
Easy to install and lets me carry items in my truck without messing up the cab. I like the fact that you can’t even tell it is installed from outside the truck with the tonneau cover on

It's OK. Not much more than Ok...
Received from the seller quickly and in good condition, good packaging.I can't say I'm real impressed with the toolbox, but it is OK. I have it put together as wide as possible, and it only fits on the rail about 1/16 - 1/8". Not sure how long it will stay on the bed without falling off. Also, the self tapping screws that go into the thin aluminum box strip out very easily - do not overtighten. Holes did not line up correctly on two of the 8 screws, and they stripped out almost immediately. It is not very heavy duty, so I wouldn't expect to put a lot of weight in it. It was also very difficult to line the cover back up straight on the truck after installing the box - lots of trial fits to get it even again. It also makes the cover stick up a little, raising the seal up on the sides around the box - not sure how waterproof it will be yet, but it might be ok.Install is not as simple as it seems, you will need to loosen the cover at the front to slip a very small amount of the bracket underneath. The problem is, once it is installed, getting your arm back in to tighten the cover down again is very difficult, almost impossible.I don't see me keeping this long term. My cover is one year old, and is already showing signs of wear around the rubber hinges and I don't open it hardly at all. With the tool box, I will be folding it much more to access the box. Too bad they couldn't figure out how to move it towards the back as an option. Folding the top all the way back is too heavy for my wife to do, and it needs to be folded all the way to the front to access the tool box.As far as folding out of the way, it folds even with the back end of the cover. I can't see me ever folding it for storage, because I'd have to clean everything out of the box first. It would also be damaged easily if something slams into it from the bed. It is not made to remove easily.Overall, it seems to fit it's purpose, as a light duty storage area (I hesitate to say tool box). On the other hand, it wasn't that expensive, and does look nice. I just wish it would slide to the back or be easily removed as a box, and be a little more durable.

Alot more room then I thought.
I had 2 Ram boxes full on my old truck. The new didnt come with Ram Boxes and I didnt want an over the rail toolbox. I saw this and bought the X2 cover and the BAKBOX 2. It holds everything i had in my Ram box's plus more.
