Would definitely recommend. Once able is connected and using is mounted setup was 5 minutes. Great signal and speed.

I am sending a wifi signal for our HOA from my home to a gatehouse, 365 feet away, to install a security camera. After a month of trying different (different placement, adjust antennas, etc.) outside/weather proof extenders I ended up with this Wavlink. There are only a couple of o/s extenders on Amazon and none of them came close to going this distance and then through a brick wall! I am a believer in Wavlink.

This unit functioned flawlessly for about 1 year from purchase then failed. Contacted Wavlink and they asked for S#, Amazon invoice, etc. and that I do troubleshooting which I did. After a lot of runaround to get the unit replaced they came up with the lame excuse that the Amazon reseller was not an "official retailer" and that I should contact them for the warranty. This, of course, is laughable as the unit came in OEM packaging and had all the OEM equipment and manuals and was not a refurbished unit. Resellers, to my knowledge, are just middlemen who buy the product and resell it. They don't get in the way of the OEM company's warranty business.Wavlink did not back this unit up with a replacement. A warning..buy with the replacement warranty offered by Amazon!!!

Easy install once I figured with type of hookup I needed to select (mesh). Gave me a little over 400 ft of 4 bar wifi. Couldn't go any further, ran into the woods!

Was the right piece of equipment I needed, was a little challenged to get set up. I ended up hitting the reset and starting over a couple days later, this has fixed the issues I was having. Coverage outside is now fantastic, no more buffering while listening to music while doing yardwork.

This extender has some nice features: it is waterproof and POE however it DOES NOT EXTEND ANY WHERE NEAR WHAT IS CLAIMED. In my case I needed it to connect to wifi cameras about 200’ from our building, line of sight with no obstructions. It barely does that. If I move a camera to 210’ it no longer connects. So for what I needed, it just does the job but do not be fooled into believing it will go great distances. IT SIMPLY CANNOT. Other than that, it is fairly simple to install and configure and seems pretty well built.UPDATE: At 6 months (almost to the day) the device just died. Would no longer power up. With the help of Amazon support I contacted the seller who agreed to replace the device and did so promptly.

I live in the mountains and this works a million times better than anything else I have used in the past...

I can honestly say that this is the most frustrating piece of networking equipment I have ever installed. It appears to be a quality piece but the cable seal at the bottom of the unit does not have sufficient clearance for the strain relief on a RJ45 end. I mounted this on the outside of my house without any issues. Have gone thru 3 different cables including 1 I made at work. All were tested with a cable tester prior to final connection. 2 broke wires after installing the cable seal. The other I believe put pressure on the RJ45 connector to the point where it no longer made contact with the jack (wouldn't power up). I was able to power up the unit without the seal in place inside my house. Can not recommend.
