This loop has very good optics. It seems very durable in spite of having a plastic case. The only detractor I can think of is the lens size would be nicer to have been larger. Still I would recognize this loop.

Excellent. Worth every penny. Optically perfect with bright edge to edge sharpness with triplet lens. Excellent and true color rendition. High quality Japanese workmanship. Typical of Nikon products. Remember: you get what you pay for!

It was very small.

Very sturdy and well made. The lens is approximately 13 mm (1/2 inch) in diameter. Sharp and clear image.

The name Nikon guarantees optical quality, but this loupe is surprisingly smaller than most on the market. Also if you order directly from Japan as I did you will avoid the almost 100% mark up by USA dealers. The shipping wait was well worth it in the savings I accrued. I purchased this loupe for a paltry $51.00. Many USA dealers are selling it for $98.00 +.
