Well done on Python could use more numerical methods materialrial
The material on Python is extensive and very well done. I suggest adding material on using openpyxl to interact with Excel spreadsheets would useful.Numerical material relies heavily on SciPy routines. In my opinion, an improvement would be to include worked out numerical examples for different methods. For example, steps with Runge-Kutta and numerical integration would help the reader understand the methods, rather than just committing the solution to relevant Python routines.

Fine content, code snippets readable only with difficulty (code comments not readable at all).
I was truly excited to receive this book today. My hopes were dashed within 10 seconds after I opened the book, when I saw immediately that the code snippets are printed in such a light gray as to be readable only with difficulty. Whereas the code *comments* within those code snippets are lighter still, and essentially unreadable. This is a real shame. The book shows every indication of being otherwise of a high quality -- in terms of the actual book content.Note that I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe that this is a defect only in my particular copy.I will be returning the book to Amazon for a refund. I hope that the publisher will soon remedy this defect, which for me is nothing less than a major showstopper.

Not book for a python beginner
I have read the book and I can not recommend based on the cost of the book. It's just not worth the cost you can find the book at burnley online. It's questions cover numerical methods not discussed in the book. The book shortcuts the python numerical modules.

Awful quality
The book had just arrived and I was looking at the Index and the pages were not even fixed in the book. Horrible quality. I'm not sure if I can open the book to read, as it seems it will fall apart. What a pity.Don't waste your money.

Well laid-out, but a 2nd edition would resolve errors
I stumbled across this text when reviewing material I learned in university, and I really like how it is laid out. The presentation of material is very efficient and clear, with practice problems that are just hard enough to push the reader to stop and think, maybe perform a quick search, and then have an "ah ha!" moment. Many of the practice problems have example input/output combinations to help the reader verify their code is operating as intended, which is helpful. However, many of these I/O combos have misleading outputs, some of the questions are miss-ordered, and some are just plain wrong. A review of the practice problems and a 2nd edition would make this an easy 5* review!TL;DR: Great information, really rough around the edges.
