Pentel Mechanical Pencil Orenz with Rubber Grip 0.3mm, Orange Body (XPP603G-F)

Because of problems with Amazon's delivery service, I had to cancel my order, but I already had two of these pencils (one in 0.3mm and one in 0.2mm), and they are amazing. It is essential to use them according to the instructions (i.e., do not extend the lead past the end of the sleeve). The sleeve completely protects and supports the lead and gradually retracts as the lead is worn down. When the sleeve has fully retracted, a single push on the eraser end of the pencil advances the lead and sleeve again. The grip is very comfortable too. Until I tried the Orenz I was never able to write with 0.3mm pencils without frequently breaking the lead, but not so with the Orenz. I think I've finally found the perfect mechanical pencils.

If your looking for a pencil that protects the lead from breaking, the Zebra DelGard is a better choice imho.

I like this a lot. 0.3 leads in this model are harder to break. 0.2 leads (another pencil same company) is a bit delicate. Don't try to fix a jam in public - a small piece can fall out and the pencil will not function after this piece is missing.

I love this pencil and how it works.

This pencil is wonderful. Will be buying another one as a back up.
