This ferment jar is just as beautiful as it is functional. It works wonderfully and my first batch of sauerkraut turned out delicious! I like the jar so much that I purchased another one. It arrived on time and completely intact with no issues.

I ordered this to preserves whole limes and it is a perfect size. I was able to fit about a dozen limes and the narrow top helps keep the limes submerged. But I specifically chose this jar because of the small glass cup (the “pressure stone” I guess) that sits in the top opening, adding additional resistance against the fruit floating to the top. I have found that the water reservoir or moat on top evaporates pretty quickly and I am not great about refilling it as quickly as it dries up. However, the pressure stone has saved the preserved limes by keeping them submerged. My lapse in attention did result in minimal kahm yeast development in the neck of the jar, but again no harm to the ferment.The jar looks so nice we have it on display on our butcher’s rack in the kitchen. Usually my ferments get stuck in a dark unseen closet or corner, but with this jar my wife was happy to put it on display. 😀. If I could change anything it would be to make the reservoir deeper or larger so it would stay filled a little longer.

Great fermentation jar, good quality but the lid has a cracked in it, I filled the jar before I noticed so hoping to just get the lid replaced. Otherwise great!

Pros: works as expected; beautiful jar; can easily view fermentation process through glass; good price; packed well; came with nice accessories - tongs, bottle cleaner, wood plunger.Cons: opening for the 1.5 liter jar is too narrow, it needs to be an inch wider in diameter; cleaning is a challenge; mini glass weights do not fit, which is unusual for this size jar; the glass has a seam that isn't smooth and can scratch hands, recommend minor buffing with a little sandpaper to resolve.

The pickle jar is large and ease to use!
