After the controller was installed, I was able to set each zone's water time for each zone. To turn the controller on, turn the dial to Auto and then push one button to activate the unit. Really easy!!!

Wanted to Give Five Start But Just Could Not
First for the five star part. This is a small, attractive very well designed unit. The controls are well laid out and the programming could not be simpler. The display is well designed. It works. However, where the wires are inserted into the terminals on the unit is horribly designed and has a very cheap and fragile feel. You are supposed to push down on the individual terminal connectors to insert the wires but you need an exact sized, small screwdriver (which they should have included). Even then, I had to push so hard to insert the wires I was afraid I was going to break the terminal. In addition to having to have a specific sized screwdriver, you need exact sized wires. There is almost no forgiveness in inserting anything but the exact size needed. Even then, they were difficult to insert. The terminal area needs to be more robust, the pushdown on the terminal wire connectors needs to be larger, and the diameter of the wire insertion points need to be larger. Personally, I feel they should have had screw terminals instead of push downs. I would rate this aspect as a "one", thus the average of a 3 star rating. That being said, once you get over the difficulty of inserting the wires, theoretically that would be the last time you would have to work in that area unless you had to change up or modify your system again.
