VERY DISSATISFIED!!! The picture shown when you purchase these silk samples show vibrant, beautiful pieces. What I received were dark, ugly and poor quality pieces. Numerous pieces are black, brown, rust or dark green and navy. There are many pieces that I question are even silk. Nine of the pieces sent were duplicated. (I have put "doubled" on these pieces.)I wanted to use these to dye eggs for Easter and the colors are not even close to adequate for that purpose. You can see in the photo what I mean.I was so excited to get these and couldn't believe it when I opened the package and saw the pieces that were sent. At this time of year, many people order these for the exact purpose I ordered them. Knowing that, you would think a conscious effort would be made to send bright pieces.These are shipped from India so it took some time to get them. I thought it would be worth the wait to get anything like the beautiful pieces shown in the picture. I know that it is stated that it will not be the same pieces as shown, but you would think they would at least be in a similar color range.I have never left a review before, but I was so upset that I immediately took a photo and posted this.*****Buyer Beware*****

The product was shipped in very good time. And - although I knew that the samples shown in their photo was most likely showing some of their most colorful/pretty samples, I figured I would take a chance at least once. It was also not surprising to me that the package of “squares” would very likely not be perfectly cut squares and I was correct - with a lot of variation in what they might call “squares”. And even though I was also aware that these would most likely need to be ironed, they were indeed NOT even squares on many, most of mine were not even squares, and definately NOT bright - vibrant colors. But Some of the pieces were badly wrinkled (like they had been wadded up) and some of the pieces were not the equivalent quality of silk as others. Some pieces were very stiff and too sheer to be able to use in most projects where I could use silk and bad enough that I can not think of where they could even be used at all.So - although I shouldn’t be surprised that the ones I received were not as pretty and vibrant colored as what their photos showed, I WAS hoping that a little more of the pieces would have been nicer pieces. Also - even though anyone buying random fabric pieces really shouldn’t be too surprised that what they Get isn’t as awesome as what is shown in the photos - I Would hope that at least a slightly bigger percentage of the pieces sent would have been what I was hoping for. Although I would not try to get a refund on what was purchased, I definitely will Not be buying the packages of random pieces of ribbon that this same company showed were for sale.

This is absolutely beautiful fabric. I didn't know what to expect and I am pleasantly surprised. The color range and quality of the color dyes is really amazing. I am very happy with this purchase.

41 pieces, 8"x8" or bigger, a nice assortment of bright and dark colors with very few duplicate pieces. Purchased for dyeing eggs next Easter. I think the grandkids will have lots of fun. This is a much less expensive way to get silk remnants than going to thrift stores and searching for old ties. Would recommend this vendor for this purpose. Not recommended for a sewing project. Many pieces were too worn and thin for that purpose. Held back one star for this reason.

They came smelling like other people's funky sweat. I had to wash them multiple times. Also, it is not a huge lot. It was tiny.

There was a shop at a local mall that sold curtains made of recycled sari fabric. I bought two but when I went back for more the store had closed. When I saw this fabric I knew I could make a pair of my own. It's really pretty fabric and as curtains it sure looks like stained glass!

So if you're thinking of buying silk scraps for anything, I have to say, don't buy these, because I WANT THEM ALL! Really, the scraps I got were great, correct in size and beautiful in color. They vary in weight from chiffon to nice silky pieces. I'm planning on using them to make a jacket, so I'll be mixing the fabrics. Really, I just want them all for myself, so, you know, leave some for me. :D
