Q: Does the battery charge in the light or does it need to be removed?

Hi! Yes. It can be charged with the battery in the flashlight - you just give a twist at the top and the charging port is exposed. You can also remove the battery and charge it. There is an adapter piece that comes with it where you can use alkaline batteries in a pinch. It is light weight and super bright. My husband loves this flashlight. We live in a very remote area and things like a flashlight are very important. I cannot say enough good things about it. We will definitely be purchasing more. Hope this answer helps you!!

Yes its a rubber button, built well. A single click turns on high and a double click turns on low.

This thing is a spotlight and a flood light, i use it for deer tracking and mechanical work. The rechargeable battery last longer than 3aaa batteries and is lighter. Love mine!
