these knives do come with a block as stated in the description even though the picture does not indicate so. i already had a medium sized serrated all purpose knife of this type, with a sheath, that i had purchased 3 years ago. I love the knife, very sharp and yes the red wears off but it takes a really long time. These are essentially the same, heavy weight, one piece of forged metal that I was expecting.

This is a BEAUTIFUL knife set! If your kitchen is this color you can’t go wrong.

Great knives. However, the red handles are painted, and the paint is starting to peel off after only a year. I wouldn’t buy these again

Outstanding set of knives. The look and ergonomics are incredibly good. They fit in your hand like this is the knive you were meant to have. I got the red set, the metallic look and smoothness of the handle is something everyone should try. There appearance is like chef quality knives.

The sets are very nice. I actually purchased 2 sets. I for each of my sons, the one set looks beautiful & the other set the red is peeling off the knives but that is because he put his in the dishwasher a big no no. My son with the beautiful set just moved recently and some how lost the shears. I wish the company would offer replacement parts, really love the sets otherwise nice & sharp

I love the color and the whole knife set it self but the red is coming off of the knives and my siccors are broke. I can nor find any replacement pair. I hate to get a new knife set but I'm going to have to if I can't get the siccors replaced.

I received this for Christmas last year. These are sturdy sharp knives. Be careful when using. Rinse and dry right after use. Put back in block.
