Great ladder!
Perfect for around-the-home stuff, inside and outside projects. It’s a bit heavy, but it’s sturdy, the safety is great, easy to use and a good investment.

Safe and secure
Finally, a ladder that can make a 56 year old woman feel safe - and sane - while perched up in my 25 year old apple trees. The tripod design makes it easier to get up close to the trunk and in the center of the tree. The wide front legs make it stable on uneven ground. It is fantastic for pruning and picking fruit, when you've also got heavy equipment and loads to deal with. I expect to be able to keep my trees well pruned and well picked for years to come. Yes, it is heavy, but that is what makes it stable, and I can carry it myself.

Awesome, little, but sturdy tripod ladder!
I get many comments on this little ladder while out on jobsites, many people have never seen or used a three legged ladder. They are much more stable than four legged ladders, they cannot "walk" around like a four legged ladder. Look up walking ladder on youtube! This little ladder is perfect for garage door service calls and even installations of doors and openers up to 7' tall. It fits in corners easily, straddles much of the "junk" (ok ok, I know you all think it is valuable treasure :)! that people tend to store in their garages. It is also lightweight, for the numerous times I move it around on every job. It also takes up minimal room in the truck, even fitting in the backseat of my crewcab when I do not want to leave it in the bed of the truck. Werner is a great brand that I depend on for all my fiberglass tripod ladders.

nice ladder, but not really for orchard work
I wanted to by a true three-legged fruit tree ladder, but shipping charges for them were extreme. I read that some people were using the Werner ladder for orchard work. To use this ladder for orchard work you have to make a modification that will make the ladder unsafe for construction work. I modified the action of the third leg and the ladder works well on hillsides and uneven ground. The modification can changed back to how the ladder was built, and then used for what it is really designed for, a very stable ladder for construction work and cleaning gutters and such. The ladder has warnings on it not to use it on uneven surfaces. It is a well made ladder, and I got rocket shipment from the vendor via UPS. Ladder arrived in mint condition.

Fiberglass tripod ladder
It is too heavy for an 83 year old woman. The brace between the steps and the stick make it too hard to walk the ladder from one spot to the next. I could undo the brace but my age makes me cautious. If I do something unsafe I might lose my independence. I blame myself for buying it.

best kept secret in the tool world
My go-to electrician contractor of 35 years and many commercial/contracting jobs taught me this the first time I asked back in the 1980s "what's up with you guys and your 3 legged ladders?" Anyone who uses anything else just does not know better. Access, stability, and ability to use it on varied surfaces (eg rocky) make it a far superior way to go. The fact that Werner is the best is just icing on the cake. Pricy? What exactly is your price on safety?

Anticipating pruning season
I was very pleased to finally get my tripod ladder. It should make all of my tree work much easier and safer. I debated whether to get the 6 foot ladder or 8 foot. I decided on 6 foot and I believe that that will be just what I need. (I am an older person and don't want to climb too high while attending to my fruit trees.) I was very pleased to see how well made the ladder appears to be with extra reinforcing with the front two legs. The weight is not excessive so I should manage carrying my ladder around without too much difficulty. I am a very happy customer at this point and after I have used the ladder in early spring I will update this review. I expect I will be able to say that the ladder works very well for me.
