Tronssien Rectangle 10'x13' Sun Shade Sail,95% UV Blockage Canopy Awning for Outdoor Patio and Garden, Yard Activities

I purchased this kit for use on one of the back patios. I have a bucket garden under shade cloths, but when August and September rolls around the plants require even more protection and ventilation to avoid becoming dehydrated. The sun, heat, and humidity is absolutely brutal on vegetables & plants not indigenous to the area (including us humans). This cloth was an inexpensive solution that does a fantastic job of “muting” or filtering the sun and the heat, which in turn extended my tomato and pepper growing season without sunscald or tomatoes turning to orange ‘drips’/teardrops. It provides excellent UV protection and shade depending on your cloth positioning (horizontally or vertically), your needs, and the position/angle of the sun. Fall is now here and the cloth is the perfect awning for my orchids and bromeliads to have ‘spring break’. You can actually feel the difference in temperature when stepping out from under the cloth into the hot sun. The package does come with the hardware needed to attach it, but the easier more effective solution for me was to run rope through the D-rings to avoid needing a ladder for quick removal.It billows out nicely during the daily ‘late afternoon thunderstorms’ and the seam strength, stitching and corners have survived through strong wind gusts & heavy blowing rains from Hurricane Debby. It wasn’t intentional leaving it up, it was merely something I forgot to remove with all the preparations I had to do. When the cloth was removed for Hurricane Helene, there was no noticeable stretching or tearing of fabric, color fading or mold. The cloth is not waterproof, so with heavy rain it does pool up in the center as it rains through, but the material was quick to dry. It is versatile and can be used to also shade your catio space, makeshift greenhouse, motorcycle/sports car, horse/cattle, as well as your outdoor patio. Overall, the cloth looks good, is easy to attach, appears durable, and it blocks enough sun and heat to lower the area temperature. For the size, price and fast shipping, this was definitely worth it! 5 Stars!

Love love love this. It keeps the sun off the patio and the color pops. Great price. This is our second year and we live in windy area. Worth the money.

For people who are picky about measurements - It is not 16' x 20'. I ordered two of these and measured both. The 16' sides are correct, but the 20' sides are shorter by 1' to 2'. Anyone working in the building industry can easily tell from first glance when the sails are unfolded on the ground. The quality is so-so, but might be good enough for a few years. These were meant to visually match and eventually replace my other two smaller sails which were used every summer in the desert heat and survived some seriously strong winds for the past 15 years. Finally two of the triangle rings fell off when the fabric loops wore off. This new set comes with small metal D-rings that are approximately 1/3 the thickness of my old triangle rings and about 1/2 in overall size. The fabric is much thinner than my old ones' fabric and therefore the resulting shadow beneath the sail is much more sunlit, which is good for protecting plants from the burning sun but still allowing light, while my old sails cast more solid shadows, good for achieving cooler temperatures.Oldies are goodies they say. The sturdier the products, the less people throw away, and the happier the Earth. It was pretty nice that I did not have to throw away my old sun sails for 15 years so far.

Exactly as advertised. Serves its purpose well. Blocks the glaring sun but didn't kill the grass below. True to size. Vibrant color. Very easy to install. Hardware was included, but we didn't need it. Seems durable. Survived a cat 1 hurricane already.

Our deck faces southwest, so afternoon sun is strong. This makes a big difference and the shade is nice.

These are really good quality. It has endured some extremely high winds and hard rain. No tears, no fading after a few months. They provide a good amount of shade. Even the lightest shade one. Purchase it!

The media could not be loaded. This was easy to install and worked well over our kids playground for about 2 years. It gave great shade.But now, at 2 years out, it is falling apart. It has a huge rip in it from a rain storm last night. We take good care of our shade covers. We take them down during the winter time.So now I’m very disappointed in the durability. We bought another shade sail around the same time from another company and that is still going strong.
