Been cooking with turmeric for years so while this seemed like a good buy with many good reviews, I was concerned when I used this to make golden paste and it turned dark brown. And it doesn't smell like the turmeric in my cupboard. I asked Nutricost for answers to my questions and for the percentage of curcuminoids it contained. Nutricost said they can't divulge those details as it is proprietary information (???). One can only guess that it is of poor quality and the grower had a killer deal or it has been adulterated, or both.

Value for the money and great health benefits. Used in coffee, teas and foods for continual effectiveness.

I'm used to turmeric being yellow and this particular one was brown. I will not buy it again because it doesn't turn my tofu as yellow as the other kind of turmeric. The bottle was a lot larger than what I thought also.
